Creating a player and trying to make it big? Man! I've been waiting for this feature for about 20 years now. I've honestly not been more excited for a sports game than I am for 2K10. I can even go online and play with my player and gain skill points? I don't know what else to ask for other than for 2K to make the game fun to play (oh, and to add my last name to the database). The features are there, now it's about getting the gameplay down to match.

Anyone else really looking forward to this mode? I guarantee it's all I'll be playing.

Co-sign your whole post. This will be the single player mode I focus on, not the Association. I've been eyeing The Life in Sony's games and now 2K has something potentially better. The only reason i'm not as excited as I wouldve been 1 or 2 years ago is the gameplay as I couldn't find any way to enjoy playing vs the A.I. in 2K9 (and to a lesser degree 2K8). The potential is there but i'll have to play the game and see.

Gotta agree as well, I was pumped for FIFA but 2K10 is slowly creeping up on that top spot. Hopefully it is done well and not bland like Madden's Superstar and NCAA's Campus Legend. I think that on my first run through I am going to try and play bad in pre-season just to mess around in the D-League lol.

It's about time.

Idk why it's taken so long for all bball games to get this in there. The sport itself is supserstar driven, yet every other sports game seemed to have their own career mode.

I love the roles, man i'm just thinking what kinda player I want to make first.

I hope we'll see the actual moment when our player get drafted if he did good at the combine.

Would be nice if an agent (instead of the insider face) advise the player throughout his career during contract negociations, trade, free agency ect..

Cant lie im definitely real hype for this, i been looking for something like this for a good while from 2k. I hope it was done very well though.

I wonder if they will have specific goals for you to do either in the game or for like the month. For example if you are a scorer you could have to average 20 ppg for the month or you have to score 30 for the game. I cannot wait for this game to be released I am not going to classes for like a week lol.

Yep, very excited for this mode. I even played the crappy Superstar mode in old Madden games, so this will be a blast.

I've definitely wanted a game mode like this since back in the ESPN 2k days when I used to play on player lock with a couple friends.

I'll be extremely disappointed if it's not done the right way, but with the addition of the online feature to go along with this, I'm thinking they put some time into it. I can't wait to tear up the D-League.

@Stumble LOL who didn't play the superstar mode at least once. Admittiedly it was crappy, escpecially the rb calls. You only got like 5-10 carries a game It was even worse in NCAA

Edit: For the my player mode I might go with the shooter route. Everyone needs a shooter on the team. Hopefully Ray Allen's shot is spot-on this year because that's what I'll be using.

Yeah man and WR is even more frustrating. Cant remember how many times my WR was WIDE OPEN and instead the QB threw it right in coverage. I guess I see why WRs are always whining for the ball.

So I hope the cpu AI is up for it, I guess what is cool is if you're a PG they said you call plays. I think i'm going to pick PG for that reason alone.

LOL. I always tried to play it off like I "thought" I was open, but I was just bs'ing myself lol. Escpecially when I watched the replay.SMH. That mode brought out my inner diva. Actually I play WR so I always like that anyway ,lol, it was only magnified while playing Superstar mode lol, I feel I'm the best on the field so give me the ball damn you...*sigh*...pretty funny and frustrating times.

For the pg that sound interesting. You can call plays,but who would actually execute. You'd have most players say just give me the dam,n ball and I'll drive in myself. Hopefully they have a teammate grade for this mode also. In case you happen to meet a douche online and you decide "hell no I don't want him on my team".Get what I'm saying?
