Anyone play NBA 2k9 after playing Draft Combine?
I have gotten a lot better at the game (especially on defense). I am having fun playing the 'right' way. I cannot wait for 2k10 so that I can play a smoother game. The draft combine has forced me to play even more sim than I already have in the past and now the game plays better...anyone else try this?O.G. - Original Gamer '87 NES

The big thing was how huge the players were in 2k9. I never thought that the players were that big but after playing the combine it was a really big difference.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -
Yea, the combine made me want to dust off 2k9...I made a athletic point gaurd in the combine and theb played my Association with the bulls and the 1st thing I started doing was getting every rebound I could and laying off the turbo...I had D. Rose getting triple doubles and my guys weren't getting tired as fast cause I wasn't sprinting them every where. Def. made me look at the game differently. I can't wait to import my guy into 2k10.Comment

Yeah I did and I even turned my game speed down to match the DC speed. I have gotten better. But sometimes it's still unplayable.Comment

Re: Anyone play NBA 2k9 after playing Draft Combine?
I have just started the combine and have not tried 2k9 again, probably won't. I never really liked the single player deal in basketball but I am really loving this one. The AI does a sufficient job of playing the game with my teammates and really I only have a couple complaints which are things I will probably get used to. The only one that really irritates me is when I go to call for a pass right when my teammate decides to pass me the ball and I accidentally do a catch and pass to one of my other teammates. This has cost me a couple breakaway dunks.Comment

Yes, I hope 2K don't add that passing system in 2K10, they need to have it that you have to double tap the pass button to do a quick pass. I don't know how many turnovers or easy shots I have done with this passing system.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

I tried to, but DC makes 2k9 look really bad. I'm playing Choops 2k8 tho so I'm still keeping it 2k. lolFavorite Games:River City Ranson-NESTecmo Super Bowl-SNESNBA LIVE 95-SNESNCAA Gamebreaker 98-PS1College Hoops 2k8-xbox360

I put 2k9 down to be credit toward 2k10 right before the DC came out. Out of curiosity what made it unplayable for you guys? Not trying to down your opinion of the game honestly just curious and didnt want to make a topic for it. I would assume though that lack of defense and player movement would be a big part of it.Last edited by Sinner; 09-20-2009, 03:12 PM.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment
