Re: Shot Stick vs Buttons

Lol, no I meant instead of dunking it I would just do a layup. It's kind of a slap in the face. You steal the ball, race down the court, they're expecting some highlight dunk. Nope, finger roll B_ _ _ _ _s.

IDK, i guess it's because dunks are nothing special in 2k9, you see them all the time any ways.

Yea ill have to agree with the majority. I started using the shot stick last year and my game has gotten better and the game itself is way more enjoyable. You get a better feel for each players release point and it feels like you have control when doing layups in traffic. It does take some practice to used to it, but when u do you'll hardly ever use the shoot button.

I've been doing this on purpose to save on enegry.... depends on the situation and who the player is. If LeBron makes a steal and has open its a dunk for sure...But if Ron Artest makes a steal. I might just go for the layup.

Re: Shot Stick vs Buttons

This is good stuff being that I've always used the button because the shot-stick did not feel right to me. But I will revert back to the shot-stick being that is seems I'm missing a total different experience with the game by using the button.

Re: Shot Stick vs Buttons

I use the shot stick for everything. Although, i do think the button is easier to hit your jumpers and three point attempts, but I think i'm cheating myself with the overall experience with the game. I've been using the shot stick every since it came out and will not go back to the button. The button just don't feel right to me anymore.

I agree with you, i'm an offline player too (meaning playing with my boys, no homo lol) The online experience just not fun to me often, you have your cheesers that abuse one move or you will have someone quit on you when you are blowing them out. So sometimes i stick to playing with the fellas in the association season. we just play each and every single game with each other meaning the my boy will controll the cpu team while i play with my main team and vica verca.
