    NBA 2K10 - Player lock?

The player lock feature in 2k9 was one of my favorite features.. Now, I'm fairly certain that 2k10 is going to include this feature, since 2k9 did, but after that whole slider thing with Madden last year, I've become paranoid as hell. So, can any of you set my mind at ease, so I can pre-order the game?

It would be highly appreciated, because I simply cannot play an NBA game without it.

    Thanks a ton.

I doubt anyone would be able to tell you that it's for sure in the game until it comes out, but at the very least, they have the My Player feature which will allow you to player lock for your own guy. Not sure about being able to player lock as Kobe or something though.

It is in the game, but now you get much tired from using it too much, similar to excessive use of turbo

No. Your player won't get tired extra fast because you're locked. But if you lock and turbo around all the time, he will get tired.

I think he is talking about player lock when you control one guy not player lock on defense.

As long as the feature is still there, it's all good. Again, I'm just paranoid as hell after the Madden 09 CPU slider issue.

Player lock - control one player (Kobe Bryant for example) and only Kobe Bryant, throughout the entire game.

I guarantee it will be in the game. It's the only way i play 2k these days, just love playing the center role for the Suns and setting up pick and rolls for Nash. I've seen so many awesome alley oops from Nash to Amare, and i jizzed in my pants!!

In 2K10 it should be even more fun now that you can move your player while setting picks, then i jizzed in my pants!

the real question is wether we will have player lock as an option online this year - last year you couldn.t

I want to play co-op with my brother, both player locked...its a blast. but last year we had to use team-up to do this as it was the only option for this, which takes away a lot of control and customization that I would have prefered by playing a custom unranked co-op game. I'll be crossing my fingers we can do this this year...(since we know they didnt get co-op online association in this year, booooooo)....

My best B-ball times were player-locking with my friend in NBA Live 99 on a created team with both of us playing as ourselves. Awesome experience. Too bad he doesn't play with me anymore.
