How to do Free Throws in 2K10 Combine?

It's quite embarassing for a first post - but the search engine didn't help me.

I have been playing 2K10 Combine on the PS3 (abysmally I might say) and at one point my player was fouled in the act of shooting.

Then, at the line, I couldn't figure out at all how to do a free throw (the last NBA 2K game I played was 2K8 - there you tilt the controller).

Could someone please enlighten me?

pull back on the right stick until the peak of the shot and release just like shooting regular shots

you mean, they took six axis out?

man, that was the only game that used it correctly!
