MyPlayer Discussion: Quarter Length, Etc.

So it is indeed possible to change the length at least in offline, just kind of tricky and annoying. AT LEAST IT'S POSSIBLE!

EDIT: If you didn't buy the DC, you MUST change quarter length before you create your myplayer

2k should have made this easier to know about IMO, but whatever we all know now and none of us have wasted time on My Player because none of us have 2k10 so hooray!

EDIT: UPDATES: YOUR PLAYER FROM DC WILL WORK, YOU JUST NEED TO REMEMBER TO DO A SETTINGS CHANGE AND SAVE IT BEFORE YOU START MY PLAYER, OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE YOUR MY PLAYER AND START OVER.

After reading a few of ken norths post over at 2k, he seems to be a bit of a nuff nuff when it comes to gaming. It looks it was a simple solution all along with his ineptness causing mass hysteria!

I'm pretty surprised he didn't check before starting his career. Locking time per quarter once you begin isn't counterintuitive IMO. For players coming in from DC, a splash screen asking if you want to change settings would be nice, though, especially if it made sure the player was aware they couldn't be changed later. For those of us creating a character from scratch, it should be more apparent.

Not a knock on him, of course. I'm sure he was excited to start playing. Thanks for the updated info.

Just watched his My Player vid he posted on YouTube. The awesome thing is that the NBA Today commentary/stats updates are in the My Player mode aswell!!

And i jizzed in my pants!

Not quite. They can just use all of those names as motivation to patch it so you can change your qtr length on the fly. the way it is, you'll still have to do some experimenting to figure out what qtr length will give you the best stats.

You'd be happy to know you are correct. I am very much a non-gamer normally I could probably count on a rather handicapped hand how many games I've played.

Sorry if i seemed a bit rude mate. I could just tell by some of your post you weren't "Hardcore" like a lot of others that post on these boards. Cheers for posting all the vids and info.
