Is NBA 2K10 Compatible With Laptop Computers?

For example, can it play on the Toshiba P505D-S8934 laptop?

I played 2K9 on my laptop for months and it worked fine, the only trick is managing the heat. I have an XPS M1530 with 4 GB RAM and a 8600m gt card and I ran between 25-40 FPS in game when I kept it cooled properly. When the laptop heats up too much (for me, when it got to 90C) it would throttle down and my frames dropped dramatically to around 10 FPS. If you get a top of the line cooler for your laptop, or just get a simple household fan like I did to sweep the heat away, you can play it seamlessly.

i have a dell studio 1555 with a 2.53 GHz intel core 2 duo, 4 GB of RAM and a 512 MB radeon 4570 and i could run 2k9 with all the settings maxed out on 1366x768 resolution at 60 FPS. i had to turn off depth of field and MSAA though. 2k10 probably has similar requirements as 2k9.

Re: Is NBA 2K10 Compatible With Laptop Computers?

Thanks guys for all of your help. I appreciate all of the info each of you provided!

My Dell Studio is capable of running games like FIFA 10, World in Conflict and Crysis and so it should not have a problem running NBA 2K10 (I still can't believe the game is being offered for only $20. That is a steal!)

I think the Toshiba P505D-S8934 laptop should be able to play NBA 2K10 even if some of the settings have to be minimized. I do not have the laptop with me at this moment. I am only interested in purchashing it from B.J.'s Wholesale Club where it is on sale with a $150 coupon for just $649. My 5-year-old laptop malfunctioned over a week ago and I am interested in the aforesaid Toshiba, at least out of the other laptops that I have looked at during the past week.

I am thinking that maybe purchasing the Toshiba P505D-S8934 laptop would be a mistake, especially because it has an integrated graphics card.

Too bad there isn't an affordable laptop on the market, especially at Best Buy, with a 17" or 18" monitor and a dedicated graphics card.
