I'm watching the Partriots and Ravens game, Go PATS! and they showed the new 2K commercial, i just wanted to know if anyone saw it because it was different from any commercial i have ever seen them do.

It was only like 10 seconds long but it showed Kobe being defended by hundreds of players and he is just crossing everyone that comes near. At the end he does some crazy side spin move in the air which looked funny as hell. I give them props for this commercial.

definitely weird, I thought it was funny but it doesn't really show what the game looks like. People who don't look at videos and screens like us might be curious as how different it looks from last years version. they need to show a little bit at least.

I know everyone knows the 2K series but still, show your game or like the other guy said, show some Kobe signatures lol

Game commercials that use CGI are absolutely pitiful (remember Call of Duty 2 for the 360's commercial way back when...). Add to the fact that the commercial strays away from the game's emphasis on simulation and you're looking at a pretty bad advertisement. Another head scratcher from the 2K marketing department.

What the hell is wrong with 2k? A "SIM" game puts out a commercial like that? Add that to us ps3 guys getting no demo b4 the game comes out.....Its like they want me to go pick up live. I think i will just wait a few weeks and read immpressions from u guys b4 i buy this year. b easy

Think about it from this perspective, It's Sunday, Football Season, More casual viewers than you probably realize, They (2k) show something striking and catchy, it's not for anyone on this board, its for CASUAL GAMERS! I appreciate the fact that they were playing Rakim, "Don't Sweat the Technique"!

The casual TV viewer wouldn't feel too compelled to go out and purchase the game if they showcased THE ULTRA REALISM OF 2K10 on a commercial. Your average sports fan can watch realistic, true to life basketball on TV already, they don't want to be shown just HOW REALISTIC 2K IS.

It's a good marketing strategy. You people make out 2K Sports to be some sort of shining beacon of light, that is only concerned with portraying basketball as realistically as possible.

I was actually starting to lean towards buying 2k over Live...in till the "NBA Street" commercial came on...looks like I will have to live with 82 games seasons this year. Great Marketing Strat!
