poeple with psp version........come in,we have to talk!

ok guys,i think we all agree its a solid game, for the psp,in only it first year........yeah sure the graphics are pretty avg.,and their are a few glitches, but its 4 times as good as any of the sorry so called basketball games on the market for the psp the last few years!but anyway we finally got ourselves a good playing portable game

so lets talk sliders and game difficultys

ive been trying to tweek them just right, because when i had them on the default settings, everything was on 50,but their wasnt enough fouls called so i bumped that to 60.then i noticed i was hitting about 65 percent from the three point line with gibson,mo,lebron, and A.parker, with is way to high(and they were contested).so ive been trying to find the right mix,so I messed with it some, and now i have that slider at 47,I have mid-range at 47 also,i tried messing with the lay-up and close shot slider by moving it down a little, bbut then guys were missing to many easy layups/close shot,so i decided to leave it the same

anyways i the most stuck on the shoting sliders....everything else seems to be ok,but please share if you have the 3 point, and mid range sliders at a sim like experience

and also i play on the third dificulty, witch i believe is all-star,it seems to be the most realistic one

This is a great game for the psp, having NBA2K on the go is awesome.

We really need to keep this thread bumped for impressions, and anything NBA 2K related for the psp.

I just posted this in another thread about the PSP version, but does anybody know when it will get put up on the Playstation store to get it for PSP Go? NBA 10 got put up tuesday and Live 10 got put up with this week's batch of games yesterday.

I wish the PSP Version had online, maybe next year, and I have no idea when it will show up on the PSN Store for GO Owners, hopefully next week.

I'm playing it on both my 360 and PSP.

At any rate, on the PSP I have a Hawks franchise and I play on All-Star on the PSP. I haven't touched anything. The games seem pretty good.
When the game is on the line, winners want the ball.

I will say that the PSP version is really good, I mean really good. I'm enjoying it very much.

I can't believe this version didn't come out years ago. I give it a 9 for a hand held.

I think you might be able to play it online using xlink kai since it does have adhoc. I havent tried it but I'll see if its supported.

what do you mean? It has an option to play online, there just nobody ever on to play. It's in game mode, it sayd online. I just want roster updates, is there anyway to get them?

                      Bump-skies!

This has dropped to 19.99 (17.99 used) at Gamestop. I'm thinking about getting it after doing a forum search for all threads with "PSP" in the title.

It seems that overall, you guys who have played it seem to like it, but most of the impressions were initial impressions.

Right now, two things are making me not want to get the game. One is IGN's review (a 5.5 with no real great things to say about it). Two is that I saw a kid playing it in an after school program that I'm doing my therapy internship at. I told the kid to let me play a little and on the only two offensive possessions I got in before getting in trouble by a teacher, I was able to turbo to the basket and dunk with ease (once with Delonte and once with Bron).

If the game is THAT easy (as the review indicated) then I don't know if it's worth it. Mind you, the kid was in 4th grade so he may not have been playing on the highest difficulty.

What I'm asking is for any impressions from people who have had the game awhile. How is it? Is it too easy? Is it sim(ish)? Also, what settings and sliders do you play with? Thanks!

Search this forum for thread titles with "PSP" in it... people here who have responded seem to like it. However, I would like those who have had it for a long time and logged some serious hours to chime in and give a mini review if at all possible.

I have Madden 10, Tiger Woods 10, and Fifa 10 so a lot of sports titles to hold me over on the handheld. However, 2K is my favorite sports game and basketball is my favorite sport. If the title is a good sim, and not too easy I'd be all for adding it to my collection.

I dont have alot of time to write a full review. Gameplay is exactly like any other 2k games, minus some animations. Everything thats in the PS2/XBOX1 is in this game. EVERYTHING. You can change the sliders to your liking, Rookie-HOF, edit accessories, Practice mode. THis only thing that is a little off is Association, and I play it alot on PC, but not much on PSP. It doesnt have player roles or anyway to give individual minutes to your rotation. Usually all starters will play 40+ mins a game unless you have a high rated(80+) player coming off bench. most role players play around 8 min per game.

The stats are pretty good and a little out of wack because of the ratings. Since Association is the main reason I play 2k it does a pretty good job with what they had to work with(PSP).

Ill post some stats from a simmed season with cpu trades on.

I think for there first PSP game it is pretty much identical to the PS2/XBOX. With a couple of new skins/menus to look like the PS3/360 version. Theres plenty of bugs(shouldnt be surprising) that doesnt ruin the experience of playing 2k bball on the go. Any further quesitions let me know, i would personally rated it a 8/10 great port.

Just wanted to ask that the team records were right on the money except, pacers winning 45 games.
