NBA 2K10 PS3::OPINIONS::

What's up guys,
I just wanted to get some opinions of the ps3 version of 2k10.
Last year although the game was enjoyable, for the most part the game looked lifeless in its graphics, and had tons of jaggies..while i saw that the 360 version was much crisper, clearer, more and life-like. I downloaded the 2k10 demo for ps3 and was kind of disappointed again. Is the final version any better? Im wondering does the ps3 version have the same feel and graphics as last year's game, or is it on par this year with the 360 version.?

This is just my opinion, but it seems when it comes to 2K Sports, the PS3 gets the short end of the stick.

graphics are way better this year

BUT

gameplay was way better last year.

it seems like there is no contact underneath the hoop. i keep finding guards drive into the lane only to find my PF or C pushed under the hoop or behind the backboard where he doesnt even try to make contact

hopefully they can give us custom arena sounds in the patch coming up

graphically ps3 again is not as crisp as the 360 version, more than likely due to the fact that this game is never made for each system individually, it's essentially a Xbox 360 port onto the ps3 which can be the case for the graphics taking a hit.

It's a bit better than last year imo but still falls short of the 360 version again.

I have retail for PS3 (tried 360 demo also), is a stripped down porting from 360, no doubt, much like 2k9. The crowd in game (not replay) is way more simple than 360, no aantialiasing at all, and it means JAGGIES everywhere, worse if u set 1080p. Altought image is more crisper than 360 due to the absence of aa. But, the framerate hold pretty well during games, u can see some hesitation but nothing to hamper gameplay. As i can see 360 suffer from lag issues, so this is, until a patch, the version of choice.

Graphics are good (I guess that has a little to do with TV). Overall, the game is good. I purchase on Sony as much as possible because I like having assurance that my system will start every time I wean it to. No 3-rings.

graphics is better then last year. Our framerates are better then 360 as of now.

But we haven't gotten a patch but the 360 has a little one already

Thats exactly how I feel. Last year I got the 3 rings less than a week after buying 2K9. I really dont have any complaints about the PS3 version except I wish they had the customized soundtracks on there. That baffles me that both systems dont have that.

exactly....i dont want to hear underground music from up and coming artists i want to incorpate my own soundtrack

Graphically the game is inferior to the 360 version (porting issues)
Gameplay wise, the game has ALOT of bugs and its far to easy to get into the paint.

Commentary is the best of any sports game.....ever.

Atmosphere is below the competitions (NBA Live 10s)....When I am in the playoffs, I want to feel like it...you don't get that feeling here.

Overall....the game is okay....Must wait until after the Patch to get a full understanding of how good it actually is....esp for PS3

I appreciate all your opinions fellas. Overall what I'm hearing is that this is once again, just a port over to the ps3 verisions. For me, after playing games like MLB the show, Madden and such on ps3, I know what the graphics can look like on the system..What 2k provides in the terms of graphics and sound to me on the ps3 versions is unexceptable. But it's whatever..I enjoy 2k's gameplay and super deep signature animations..but it's hard to continue to accept that as my only reason for buying. It just irritates me, that when I play the 360 version of that same game, that 360 owners are getting much more for the $60 they paid. I'm a die-hard basketball fan, and need a game for this year. I'm just not too sold on either product this year.

well i've played BOTH copies and i really don't see a difference i'm the type that looks for things like this.360 is enjoying the SAME bugs as the ps3 all in all i'm having fun with it.Oh yeah that white outline that was on ALL the players on the ps3 version are gone and graphics do look AS crisp as 360 version.To tell you the truth i didn't have any graphics issues on the ps3 til 2k9 all the rest looked the same on BOTH.Do yourself a favor if u LOVE b-ball games get 2k10.
