My Player: These teams are interested in you

Ok so My Player who is a 6'4 athletic point guard got drafted to the Jazz and luckily I didn't get cut and got to start of the season with the Jazz.

So I'm 5 games into the season and my last game was against the Knicks and my player had career numbers with 42 points, and 8 assists...

After the game, the 2k Insider tells me that these teams are interested in me and the decision is mine of where I want to go. But the problem is I can't see what teams are interested in me so I can't make the decision.

Has this happened to anyone else? Please help because being that my player is a point guard, it's going to take a long time to take Deron Williams' spot lol. All of my playing time has actually only been at the SG, and with me playing the PG very occasionally.

So can someone tell me why the teams that are interested in me aren't showing up? Thanks to whoever can help.

Re: My Player: These teams are interested in you

My friend just asked me about this same thing. He is having the exact problem you are having. It never came up in my "my player" season but we figure it is because I was drafted and he wasn't (I started with Draft Combine) - meaning my player must be under contract (I'm not sure, just a guess, there seems to be no where to check any of this stuff within this mode). I was searching within this forum to get him an answer but there seems to be no mention of it, except a post I found about it in the glitches thread. I'd like to know if anyone has any info on this also.

It is a well known bug/glitch. It will be fixed in the upcoming patch. No teams are interested in you, the insider will just say that after every game.

      Just ignore it.

I have the same problem and while I am playing for a team past my initial 10 day contract, I have yet to actually get a contract. Got to love playing for a NBA team for free!

I could be mistaken, but I do not believe actual contracts are in myplayer. Each year you are given a option of a few teams to play for, but as far as negotiating a huge contract and living your dream as a grossly overpaid NBA player, not this year.

Again, I may be wrong (and hope I am),but no contracts for your myplayer

It's great ain't it!! See I was drafted (24th pic for the Mavs) and they gave me that line that I had to prove myself to make the team and they were still doing cuts. I've obviously proved myself, I get more minutes than anyone on the team, but nothing EVER came up about signing a contract. I see where some of the scrubs on my team got signed but there is no info about my player. Here I am on pace for the ROY and Mark Cuban won't even talk to me. Lol. I guess the glamor and glitz of being an NBA player is enough, who needs the money and security

Wow... that's really blowing it right there. If I can't go after the BIG contract and have teams fighting for me come free agency, where is the replayability of this mode. I mean, if you get a ring and make the all star team, that's basically it... there would be no reason for me to play multiple seasons. Can you make the Hall of Fame or get your number retired at least?

Well that stinks. I really wanted some virtual bling bling. Oh well I guess I will just blame the economy

I do not think so. Myplayer is pretty bare, and it is to be expected, this being the first year of the feature. I was hoping for more interactions with your team, like complaining and demanding trades. As it is now, all we have is the gameplay, not the bells and whistles.

I'm certain that 2K will add more in the years to come. To get a good idea of all the features in myplayer just look at the milestones.

That really sucks because my player is dong really good. I'm leading all the rookies in scoring, assists, and steals. I want to go to a team that's gonna start me but I'm stuck behind Deron Williams and Ronnie Brewer. I wish I could at least start at SG, seeing that I'm second on the team in scoring behind Deron Williams, and I'm leading the team in steals...

Yeah, you're right, at the beginning of My Player, you have no idea what kind of contract you have. However, realize, if you got drafted, you're contract should be roughly the same as the REAL LIFE player that got drafted in your spot. Beyond that, I got traded in the offseason from the Grizzlies to the Hawks. When I looked at the NBA Headlines for the Hawks at the beginning of the year, it stated that I got signed to the Hawks for a 5 year $13.35M contract, even though it doesn't show up on my player card.

Same here. I'm playing more minutes than my entire team, but they won't start me because of the future hall of fame status of J. Kidd. Even though my man is producing more than him... they play me at SG 90% of the time so he can get his minutes. I want to be a starting PG somewhere, but I know they wont trade me - I'm TOO good and with no contracts or anything, there is no way I can test the market myself... so it's basically finish the season with a team and jump squads every season until your ranked 99 and bored of it It is still a dope mode for it's first year out, as a matter of fact I can't wait until it's updated in 2K11 (hopefully they will bring back "The Crib" and allow our my players to entertain!! Lol)

See that's all I needed! I was looking at the headlines looking for this and seeing the scrubs contracts... So second season I can see it... that's cool. That's much better than the nothing I was expecting.
