Official 11/07 2K Roster Problems

Hey guys, I don't know if it just me, but with the 11/07 roster update, I am seeing alot of Drive-in/Kick-outs than before. The previous Roster updates fixed this problem, but it seems that the this roster update doesn't have the fix for the drive-in/kick-out for CPU Star Players. I have played several games against the Cavs, and Lebron was driving and kicking it out alot more than finishing at the rack.

Also it was reported by some users that they don't see dynamic attendence (empty seats) in any of the arenas with the roster patch as well. (<!-- m -->http://www.operationsports.com/forums/n ... dance.html<!-- m -->)

Could it be that they forgot to put both the dynamic attendance as well as the drive-in/kick-out fix for the latest roster patch?

It's funny you mention this because I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't attribute it to the roster update.

I had been playing with the previous update, and you're right, the problem was fixed. But the minute the 11-7 update came out, I downloaded it and started my Association and I've seen the game revert back to it's old ways a bit. I thought it was a glitch in the Association, but I guess I was wrong.

I'm seeing a lot of kick outs, a lot of mid-air passes, and I'm even seeing defensive rotations act weird on a few occasions.

I'm still seeing more contact in the paint, which is great.

I thought I was trippin' but it does happen with the 11/07 roster. I think I will try a 2K share custom roster I downloaded the night before until this fixed and hopefully I won't have this issue.

Yeah dude for a minute I thought it was because I was just adjusting to the changes post-patch, but I really think the last roster update did something to the gameplay.

Are all you guys playing on the XBOX360? I am playing on the PC so I don't have the Patch from 2K yet, but I thought that the patch would solve all this even if you are using the 11/07 roster update which is bugged.

Weird that the Roster Update overrides the 2K Patch. I'm using the previous Roster update, the, 10/22 2K Roster and the Drive-in/Kick-out problem is solved. So it's just the 11/07 that has the problem. Hopefully the next roster update fixes this again.

BTW, when you boot up the game, it automatically downloads and saves the latest roster update which is a pain in the a** if you want to play with an older roster update.

Take a look at some of the player's tendencies after that last 2k update. The Attack or Pass out sliders in each players tendency ratings(which I think it says on that section that the two tend. together should ADD UP to 100) are very strange. Some players like the D. Wades and Kobes of the world have a 85-95 attack rating but then their pass out rating is also almost as high like 80-90. I think that may be our problem. If the two did actually add up to 100. It would seem like players like D. Wade would have a( just for example) 90 attack and a 10 pass out rating. If someone has the time and knowledge of each players actual playing style (which is tough for even a die-hard fan), to edit these two tendency sliders( it would seem just lowering the Kick Out tend. slider would help, as most of the attack Tend. #'s I agree with) for each player in the league. It might fix that problem. Hope this helps.

The 2K Insider strikes again. If you go on his blog, most of the people posting on there are teenagers worried about there favorite players headband colors and socks or how a player in the NBA has 2 good games, so he deserves a huge ratings boost. I wish he would focus more on player and team tendencies. Im willing to beat that he hasn't updated team tendencies not once in all of these roster updates, so its likely he's messed up the drive and kick tendencies for players.

Was the previous update like this too, or were the tendencies different?

Although the logic is correct, this does not necessarily apply to the 2K Rosters since the 10/22 2K Roster (the one before 11/07) worked well, there Stars attacked the rim often and there were less kick-outs but if you go to the edit Tendency screen for the Wades, Lebrons, Kobes, their attack/pass-out tendency also did not equal to 100.

Therefore there is something beyond the tendency ratings that causes the bug, it's not as simple as changing the values for the tendency. The only way to fix this problem is for 2K to release a new set of Roster Update that implements the patch fixes.

Although the logic is correct, this does not necessarily apply to the 2K Rosters since the 10/22 2K Roster (the one before 11/07) worked well, CPU Stars attacked the rim often and there were less kick-outs but if you go to the edit Tendency screen for the Wades, Lebrons, Kobes, their attack/pass-out tendency also did not equal to 100.

Therefore there is something beyond the tendency ratings that causes the bug, it's not as simple as changing the values for the tendency. The only way to fix this problem is for 2K to release a new set of Roster Update that implements the patch fixes unlike for the 11/07 where they fixed Arroyo's black arms but forgot to implement the previous fixes (drive/kick-out, lack of aggression)

Ya, or just use the 10/22 one, or somebody's custom roster but be sure that their custom roster is not based on 11/07 or the first few roster updates 2K released at the beginning, since it does not matter about how much they editted/altered the ratings/tendencies, the bugs (drive-in/Kick-out) will always be.

It's weird tho, i thought that the 360 patch would over-ride the roster bugs since the Patch fixes those problems in the first place.
