can only dunk on fast break

ok i got the pc version of his game the other day and i only only seem to dunk on fast breaks. every other time i drive to the basket all the people i know that can dunk just lay-up the basket instead of dunking does anyone know why that is

They are drunk and cannot dunk

Which button are you using?Try using turbo+shoot or the right stick.

I'm using Turbo with the shoot stick but they lay-up every time unless i'm on a fast break with no defender near me. every time a defender is in front of me my guy will lay-up instead of dunking.

You might be pressing the shoot button too early/late. Also, sometimes with a defender in position, you'll automatically lap up with players with high lay up ratings.

Try pressing the shoot button earlier/later and eventually you should get used to the proper timing.

Also, to keep the combo going, lack of dunk got you in a funk?

Its also on the dunk level of your player and all the other skills that increases your dunk (vertical).
