Trade logic in this game is a joke...it completely makes no sense what so ever, I don't really think there is a trade logic in this game from the way they just throw random trades out towards you and how the cpu trades amongst itself.

Watch the transaction screen. Just yesterday i had the Magic and Kings swap Gortat and Garcia and a week later swap them again , meaning everybody ended up where they started.
Another scenario went down just the same (forgot the players involved).

you can also easily reverse trades though or facilitating them when only controlling one team. All you have to do is allow "trade override".

If 2 teams make a bogus trade, you can just design a 3 way trade where those 2 teams put in the players they just exchanged, you put in your 2nd round pick and get a 2nd round pick back from one of those teams. (afterwards you can exchange the 2nd round picks again)
              Voila, trade reversed.

If a contender trades away a key piece for a pick, i´ll step into god-mode and reverse it ...

between this and turning off trading until 2 weeks before the deadline (actually i open it for 2 weeks in early december as well) i think it will be a pretty nice experience without selecting all 30 teams.

Trade logic in 2k games has always been bad. That's why I turn CPU Trades off, and turn them on 2 weeks before the deadline.. sometimes I won't turn it on at all. I usually officiate their trades if players are underperforming or are unhappy with their current team.

lol i do the exact same thing guys. I only turn CPU trades on for a week in Dec. and the whole month of Feb.

Ha, I do that too. Turn off the trades for the whole first half of the season, and only turn them on for like the last two weeks before the deadline. I've been doing that for a few years with 2k. lol

If I saw a huge deal was done before that deadline was up, I will put it back to no trades. You got to monitor these crazy GM's! They're crazy! lol

Trade logic, there is none in this game. It is actually worse than last year which has forced me to run a 30 team association.
