How many years deep are you in your Association?

Just curious how deep you guys like to roll in your Association.

I have about four different Associations, but the one I've picked back up is my Bulls Association.

I am currently in 2015-16. My starting lineup consists of:

Derrick Rose - 99
Harrison Barnes - 99
Generated 2nd year player 85
Greg Monroe - 94
Joakim Noah - 83

Bench:
Dirk Nowitzki - 84
The rest are all CPU generated

I'm loving it, and I think I'll keep going for another 5 years or so. My team is good so I dont play the regular season, only key games in the playoffs. I can go through a season in a day or two.

My other Associations I have are the Sixers in year three, Heat year three, and Magic year 4 I think.

Finally finished my season last week. Got crushed by Dallas in the second round. I ended up starting a new season.

I'm still in my first year, lol, but glad to see this is a very deep game, I probably won't buy 2k11, as I like to skip a year if the game is actually really good.

I don't understand the point of simming through a season. Now if you played through to 2015 that would be impressive!

Since you've made it so far, how are you dealing with the Association glitches (big man 3pt shooting, CPU not playing rookies even if rated higher than starters, etc)? Are you controlling all 30 teams?

My current season (14-15) in my Lakers Association is pretty well. We have won the title 3 times but the team has gotten a serious make over.

I kinda cheat because i play with no fatigue in my franchise mode but i have a great time and that is all that really matters

The first year or two I'll play several regular season games, but for me, the fun is not simply playing the game on the court, but making General Manager type decisions on contracts, trades, draft picks etc. You really have to get a 1,2 or 3 years in before you can shape the team the way you want to.

I dont have enough time to play all those games, so I simulate a lot of them, and then once my team becomes good enough I can simulate most of the season except for big games, and have a decent seed in the playoffs.

Since you've made it so far, how are you dealing with the Association glitches (big man 3pt shooting, CPU not playing rookies even if rated higher than starters, etc)? Are you controlling all 30 teams?

Big man 3 point shooting can be annoying, but it usually only happens once maybe twice per game. I can put up with that. The CPU playing time and draft intelligence is quite annoying too. Teams simply load up on one position. I will go in and edit their player roles if I see something that doesn't make sense.

In my fourth with the Grizzlies. Kept the team mostly together, but I traded away the two backup SFs for Donte Greene, signed Anthony Randolph in the offseason, let go of Zach Randolph, only have one drafted player, and signed a new backup PG.
