Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Thank God I'm not short-tempered, because my controller would've been in pieces playing 2k10. Things like overthrowing the ball a lot (not being a difficult pass), players touching the ball before it goes out when the other opponent touched it last, the false charging call, the lean-shot animation with no call, the ref getting caught up on the court (so you have to call timeout), I know there's more so post some so 2k can hopefully notice it.Tags: None -

Players who have boxed out their man jumping for the rebound before the ball even hits the rim just so the put-back dunk animation can play through.
CPU players getting called for goaltending on 3-point attempts because they grab the ball before it hits the rim (especially frustrating when you see that the shot is short).
The ball going through a defender's hand on a block or steal attempt.
Timing a steal perfectly on a pass only to see the wrong steal animation play out (especially on passes to a player standing under the rim in heavy traffic).
Getting caught up with the ref when trying to defend the baseline.
Slow post players getting super speed on loose balls.
3-in-the-key calls on A.I. teammates when running a play.
Plays being broken followed by your A.I. teammates just standing still.
Missed break-away lay-ups.
8 second half-court violation called with 17 on the shot clock.
Fans' count down not in sync with the actual clock. -

I like the fouls that are called when you go to take a charge completly misjudge the angle and the call you for a blocking foul when neither player ever touched.
I also agree about the goofy in the lane traffic shot with no call. Id rather take my chance on the charge and just finish the runner then see that animation sometimes.Comment

I like the overthrown passes.I had a guy like alot of cheesers online, rebound the ball with a big and then chunk it all the way down court to the foul line for the easy drive.before the game he went into coach settings and turned fast break all the way up so he could do this.He probably completed it 7/10 times. You shouldnt be able to do this 3/10 witha big man.
The rebound getting called for the goaltend HATE IT!!Happens to much and when the A.I. does it makes it that much more frustratingComment

****, that pisses me off so much. My player will box out the guy, time it perfectly and miss so there can be a putback animation. Makes me damn mad.Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
The super recovery of CPU Controlled defenders, which allows people to roam around with 1 guy on D, without the defense getting broken down.
Makes executing an offense in a online ranked game, pretty much impossible.Comment

When players do 360 turns on defense. When a simple turn to the right is called for...this is on rotations. Also when playing the CPU its feel like the get every single call.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
When your on a fastbreak with 2 other players, they run to the side instead of cutting to the basket. Also, not being able to run for a dead ball, because the ball rolls faster than the player. When they give you a bad passer to inbound the ball in a short amount of time to score. Can you change the inbound passer????Comment

The overthrown passes happens much too oftenly. Players overthrow the ball even if its not a difficult pass, like if I'm Jameer Nelson and I take it in, then throw it out to Rashard Lewis, I shouldn't overthrow the ball, but it happens.I like the overthrown passes.I had a guy like alot of cheesers online, rebound the ball with a big and then chunk it all the way down court to the foul line for the easy drive.before the game he went into coach settings and turned fast break all the way up so he could do this.He probably completed it 7/10 times. You shouldnt be able to do this 3/10 witha big man.

The one thing I don't understand when I see is when the defenders on a fastbreak. Run undernearth the basket. When the guy is outside.
But you can make your players cut you the basket by using lead pass.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
How about the CPU being down by twenty with 3 minutes to go in the 3rd... and coming back to force an over time, while you bricked all your open shots, and botched lay ups and dunks...
This game is made to not let the comp lose, unless you play on pro or rookie... cheaters.Comment

These things happen on HOF because the CPU's attributes are hiddenly raised by a set amount, causing Ilgauskus and Gasol to keep up with Iverson and other fast guards when on the break or on a mismatch. Not to mention, high dribble ratings causing guards to start off slow so the defender instantly catches up.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller
Out of bounds plays with under 5 seconds left in the game, and you need a bucket. The players don't get set up until after the inbounder has the ball. Has lost me games. I wish we could somehow draw up a quick play during the timeout. Another reason why we need 2k8's play creator except this time with side inbounds. We could create our very own inbound plays. So during timeouts you'd choose one of your own, and then the players would already be set up, and run it the second the inbounder gets it.I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.Comment

I can't play on any level other than HOF when playing the CPU. I consisently beat the CPU on every other level about 99% of the time. These things happen on HOF because the CPU's attributes are hiddenly raised by a set amount, causing Ilgauskus and Gasol to keep up with Iverson and other fast guards when on the break or on a mismatch. Not to mention, high dribble ratings causing guards to start off slow so the defender instantly catches up.
Another thing that has happen to me a few times. Your about to get a 8 second violation on an opponent. But has calls timeout. And has only one second to cross the half court line to avoid the 8 second violation. But after the timeout they can inbound it to the backcourt with NO CALL being made..That drives me crazy!!Last edited by jeebs9; 05-14-2010, 03:23 PM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
