Thanks for the comments guys...but again, this thread is not about just accessories...it's about all graphic details being accurate according to the year>from player faces/looks, courts and unis to details like the court logos.

But with classic teams/players, it's completely different. We know exactly what they wore back then - even during the specific games that we have in the Jordan Challenge. the thing is, that some of them, especially MJ, had their SIGNATURE accesories/shoes. It's really important for me to see MJ 100% accurate to each season, because it's all been said and done, it's not new. It just takes watching some old games (not a problem at all to get those games), and attention to details.

* Yeah, I'm playing the PC version, but I hardly ever download patches and stuff. I used to do that years ago (with other sports games), But I guess I've become too lazy, and it's not as a big of a deal as it was for me in the past.
100% agree.

My biggest thing is this though...

Let's say I want to play a season with the 1998 Bulls, who are on the game as their playoff-version selves. My biggest hope is that they are wearing white shoes if we play them in a season (I think it's common sense that 2K will have that team wearing black shoes in the Jordan Challenge). I could care less about Rodman's hair color, but I just can't play with the Bulls during a season wearing black shoes, and I can't play with them in the playoffs wearing white shoes. It just wouldn't feel right, and I know I'm not the only Jordan fan who feels that way.

^^ Definitely! I couldn't bring myself to play with the any of the 90's Bulls in the playoffs if they wore white shoes. Sounds crazy, but I remember I loved to watch the Bulls first playoff games just to see what the shoes looked like...especially MJ's.

By the way...I know the Bulls started wearing black shoes in the playoffs from the 1988-89 season. But didn't MJ have black Air Jordan I ? I mean, I know he wore the white ones (if you can call it white) during the 63-point game, but I'm pretty sure he also wore black ones. Was it during a All-Star game (1985, he was injured during the 1986 ASG) or something?

And didn't MJ wear black AJ3? I know he wore them in the 1988 ASG, but that's it? Only for one game?

Good questions. The only time I remember seeing MJ with black AJ1s was in the dunk contest. And I think he did only wear the black AJ3 in the All*Star game since that's where he would break the black ones out (could be wrong on that one though, but maybe not since the NBA still fined players for not conforming to the rest of the team back then too I think. I remember he was fined in the '95 playoffs for wearing the famous white AJXI when the rest of the team wore black shoes, but I know he didn't wear them in every playoff game).

The only time time MJ wore the black AJ1s was in the 85 slam dunk contest. He couldn't were them on regular season or playoff games since they were banned by the league.

jd@os is right, he began wearing black sneakers for all-star games from 1988 onwards (with 1996 being the exception were he wore a pair of all white AJs)

I'm wondering...were those black AJ1's sold in stores back then?
