    Jordan's Rating in NBA 2k11

Not sure if this topic has already been debated, but what do you guys think Jordan's rating should be in the game?

I believe if anyone is deserving of a 99 then it should be him.

But I also understand the argument that no one is perfect, therefore no one should enjoy that high a rating. What do you guys think?

Edit: Forgot to take into account we have several versions of MJ in the game. So when Jordan was in his prime (which is debatable as well), what do you think his rating would be?

Depends which Jordan. I think we have 8 Jordans.

The question should probably be what will Jordan's ratings* be, whereas there are 8 different versions. Hard to tell without knowing how they approached ratings this year, but you know he's the highest rated player in the game, so anywhere from 96-99 for most Jordan's if the ratings scale stays the same as in 2K10. I wonder what they will rated the Sophmore Jordan who dropped 63 on the Celts. His game wasn't as all around back then.

I remember devs saying something about shoes giving you some boost, or something like that. Now, if we can give 1986 MJ the AJ 6's...hmmmm...

Re: Jordan's Rating in NBA 2k11

I think young Jordan would be a low to mid 90s, incredible athleticism but his skills aren't all developed yet.

Late 80s-93 Jordan is a 99, though it's more like a 105. His game had developed and his body had too, his athleticism in terms of explosiveness, body control, etc. was second to none. The ultimate player at this point.

Around 96-98 for 2nd threepeat Jordan. Obviously his athleticism had declined some, but his post game was dominant and he still had the innate ability to take over for quarters at a time. I'd give his mid range J a 99 at this point.

I think this is dead on. The 80s-93s Jordan was just sick.

As long as he's got his own dunk package it's good, I think it was confirmed...? Don't wanna see him dunking like Carmelo or something like that.

3pt rating, that's where it gets tricky. Although MJ never was a great 3pt shooter, it seems like when he wanted to shoot 3's, he did it pretty well. That's the only rating that I'm having a hard time with. But I'm sure '86 MJ should have around 65 from 3pt.

                    Which Jordan would that be?

It's awesome how varied his stats could be for any point in his career, his game went through so many evolutions.

For example, a young Jordan circa 84-87 would be worthy of steal rating around 95 and a block rating around 85. He was an unbelievable shot blocker at the SG position.

That same Jordan would probably get a close rating in the high 90s and a 3pt in the high 50s.

                    I'm guessing that's a 90s Jordan jeebs?

Yea that was more of a 90's. I'll do 80's in a little while.

                          I have no idea.

But anyway, I was just joking.

There is no way a rookie Jordan is rated in the 90's. At most, he'd be an 85...which is even still too high for me. 81 seems good for a rookie.

He never really was a good 3 point shooter, and his ft percentage could've been better. I'd say in his prime he is a 98, just cause his 3 point shooting wasn't that great

With Jordan in the game, some players like Kobe, LeBron and co. should actually have a rating decrease, since, you know, compared to Jordan they have to be quite lower...
