Right? That way Magic and Bird get to grace the cover, we get more Michael, and Charles Barkley finally gives his likeness to 2k (which may even bring TNT into the equation). Hell we could even play Dream Team vs. Redeem Team. Also, with all of this World Championship 2010 hype going on, that's what I really want to be playing in 2k while waiting for the regular season to start, or just when I need a change of pace. Last time I checked, FIBA was exclusive to EA, but I don't know if that's changed at all since Live 09.

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
That would be sick. I'm interested to see 2k's approach next year...
Do they:
- Continue using the Jordan name and having The Jordan Challenge in the game
- Do they go back to having a current superstar on the cover
- Do they scrap the idea of legends altogether ($$)
What direction will they take next years game. Me personally, I couldn't be more excited for this years game... I don't even want to think about 12.Comment

one huge things is missing they would need to get the fiba lic from ea to do this. Back in 92 there was dream team game.

If they could do the FIBA tournament, that would be awesome. I really hope they continue to do legends like Jordan.. I think it really adds to the game."Limits, like Fears, Are Often Just An Illusion"

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
i think it'd be pretty cool if 2K could somehow make an olympic edition of the game for 2012. maybe have the 2012 squad on the cover and include all the olympic tournaments/rosters since 92. assuming EA isnt still hogging the license.
now that they've broken the seal with jordan, i think they should make it a tradition to put something special in the game every year. magic/bird would be cool. i bet kobe could hold down his own challenge mode too. they dont necessarily have to put these guys on the cover thoughComment

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
It would be cool to have the '92 Dream Team in 2K but I guess they can't. It's because EA owns the rights to FIBA I guess. Damn you EA!! Well 2K is still the better game so whatever.Greatest Franchise Ever

we could still have the dream team in 2k, they have lics to most of the guys. And just give us a better create team mode with unis , logo and courts and where set to go..."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
Just cause you want the Dream Team doesn't mean Charles Barkley will be in the game. There are licensing issues.
I wouldn't really care for the dream team. If you had them, you'd had to have FIBA players and that would just take development time out of other areas of the game.
Stick to NBA basketball and keep legends teams. That way, if you want, yuo can create your own dream team. What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
I've been considering this for a long time now...
It sucks that FIBA is only exclusive to one company, but 2K really did a great job with it's Create a Team feature last year. So much so that I figured maybe they were trying to undermine EA's licensing. If you think about it, what really prevents a group of devoted Roster Makers from all getting together and making these teams?Comment

Yeah it would be awesome to have the Dream Team in 2K. Maybe even the Reedem Team as well. Those two going toe to toe would be awesome.Greatest Franchise Ever

i have been gathering info and pics of all the usa teams with nba players since 92 till this year. Gotten the proper ratings and everything. Just need a more solid create team mode. If we could design the unis right with right logo. We would be set to go."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: NBA 2k12: Dream Team
I just loved the original Dream Team! Loved it, loved it, loved it! But since there's no Barkley (we may never have him) - there's no team. You can't create the dream team without Barkley. If it was Laettner, I'd say "Oh well...". But not without Barkley.
I've never been a big fan of FIBA teams. And for me, if there's no season/no regular games, I don't feel like playing it. It's not like FIBA teams play every season and match the NBA players every week or something. There's no season, nothnig.
If you're saying you want the Euroleague, this I can understand...well, I don't care for this league, but at least there's a season for it.
But to play those teams that play once every couple of years (and not even with the same players), I just don't have a motivation to play this.
But that's me.My Specs:

Yeah, just a few more additions to that create-a-team (such as adding the ability to put a team name or city across the chest of the jersey) and 2K could really open up a door there.I've been considering this for a long time now...
