Official OS What Camera are you Using Thread

I'm really looking forward to 2K11, but I was wondering if you guys could post your thoughts on the ideal camera angle for 2K11. I know the demo gives the broadcast view, but I feel sometimes it's hard to execute certain dribble moves, or to see certain men that are open.

So, what do you guys prefer? The baseline (overhead, i think it's called?)? Broadcast? What's the "best" angle, in your opinion? Thanks for your thoughts!

I prefer broadcast but you should try out the 2k cam if executing the dribbling moves are a bit difficult for you while playing on broadcast.

There is no "best" camera angle, IMO it's all relative to the user and his preferences. That said, I like the Broadcast camera because when I want to "get into" the game so to speak, I want to be fully immersed in the "sim" experience, so I choose the one closest to real life. Though, from a strategic standpoint, the 2k cam may be best for that.

If you're looking forward...then 2K cam is your cam...

For me it's broadcast cam. The only time I played 2K cam style, was in Live '99, when I played with the Jazz and passed assists with Stockton to Malone all day long!

But anyway, I like Broadcast better than any camera, this is my favorite view.
                  My Specs:

                  ZX Spectrum
                  CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
                  GPU: Monochrome display
                  RAM: 48 KB
                  OS: Sinclair BASIC

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

2K Cam as a default, if I want to really see the detail and don't mind the extra closeness, Drive cam is probably my actual favorite way to play due to the wa the camera stays behind the ball-handler at all times, making IsoMotion SUPER easy. However, this year it might be harder to use because of all the pass deflections -- it's a bit hard to judge the angles in that view. You can adjust both cameras to make them more useable though, so I anticipate that I'll be tweaking one or the other to my liking.

God I hate playing on Broadcast, but it does look amazing, especially this year. Just can't get over all the relative stuff, mainly doing what I want on the shot stick and not having to deal with stupid half-angles when you're on the wing, etc.

That would make it more confusing to me after dealing with Broadcast as-is for 6 years. They were absolute in Live and I couldn't deal with Broadcast in that game either because you're now standing on the other side of the basket (i.e. attacking baseline) and everything is reversed from how it appears on the screen. Blegh, vertical cams all the way for me...

I'm in the same boat as you stumble tho the absolute controls MAY help on the east-west cams. But to the OP I would say east-west cam's LOOK the best for animations and things of that nature.

But to have the easiest time on gameplay I would say 2K or Drive cam is your best bet. Unless you have great depth perception (unlike me) then you can play on just about any cam but I would recommend skybox or nosebleeds for east-west.

I prefer 2k cam, but zoomed in pretty far to where I cant see the other side of the court if on the opposite side. I've just been playing 2k for so long that I know where my players are gonna be and I like seeing the detail of the players up close and being able to make moves head on.
