Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
Nope...Summer League doesn't count. Until the regular season starts no ratings will be changed. And thats when the 2k insider makes changes.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
This is definitely not true. I have never seen any sports video game ever just carry over ratings (at least not in the last few years) and not take into account changes from end of a season till the next year. They usually give a bump to young players who started to play better at the end of the season, and showed potential to make a jump in year 2 or year 3.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
Its always been like that for years now. Since updating rosters came alive. Whatever the last roster update was from the season before. Thats what the rosters will be in the beginning of next year. Until the 2kinsider changes roster ratings. The only thing that might be different are that new ratings are added.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

They did it the last 3-4 seasons now. Whatever the players ratings was the last season. Thats the same ratings he will get on the default roster on the disc...This is definitely not true. Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
The only difference I can say was between 2k9 and 2k10. When they changed the bottom of the scale from 50 to 25. They made changes to those bottom players/ratings.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
O ok, well thanks for correcting me. I guess I usually stop looking seriously at ratings around March, and never pay attention to the final roster update. I usually look pretty hard at the ratings when the game first comes out, I guess I just never put 2 and 2 together.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
Never really believed they would be that lazy about the rosters.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
Would it really be that hard for the insider do some homework during the summer on players progression. I doubt the info would be too hard to find. Im not necessarily talking about drastic jumps but mild improvement would be nice, especially if we don't get the first ratings update until a month or two after the game drops.Comment

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
It would be nice...But you can't rate players for how they play during the summer league and preseason. I don't think that would make sense. I mean I see Derrick Rose has a video on youtube with him shooting and hitting 3's. Now do I give him a little rating boost because of a video on youtube? I don't think so.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Player/Team Ratings Question?
if you look at the roster ratings for the test 2k11 leagues, they have made some subtle changes. i think on the last rosters for 2k10 durant was in the high 80s. he's 91 now.
also looks like they bumped up most players on ball d ratings. eg. wilson chandler was 69 on the last 2k10 roster in on ball d and in the test leagues for 2k11 its a 79.
either way, same ratings or not it would be nice to see the screens like they have been showing them the past few timesComment
