The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Re: NBA 2K11 Q&A (Those That Have it Early, Confirmed)
I see that the events are the same this year for custom music. My question revolves around the arena venues. Are there 30 NBA venues plus all arenas? Or do we have classic team arenas in the mix?? The question changes everything structural wise on a pending 2k11 custom music file

Any word on whether the sub in/sub out logic is improved for My Player? Last year was terrible, almost a game breaker.
This also could stand for CPU games in general, how do teams handle subs, particularly in the 4th quarter? I had a lot of instances in assoc last yr where teams would keep bench guys in late into the 4th instead of putting in the starters.

I can't stress enough how inferior this game looks graphically on PS3. Court reflections are minimal and jaggies jaggies jaggies.
Let me help you out, BOTH systems took a hit in the graphics and animation departments. The xbox version of NBA 2K11 reminds me of MLB 2K8. Remember the drop in graphics compared to MLB 2K7? Same thing, it looks bad IMO. Seems like presentation is lacking also, compared to last years version. I'll look more into that tomorrow. I had a chance to play the game at the Best Buy kiosk and I'm going to see if I can buy the game (catch them off guard)

In the Arena Music editor you can edit the arenas for all 30 teams I guess like last year didnt really use it much. No classic teams arenas you can edit I just counted just the 30 current NBA teams.

My next wonder would be whether we could edit the roster of classic teams then. By that I mean signing, releasing, or trading guys from the team. If this were possible (as it was with the All-Decade teams of year's past) we'd be able to trade Generic Jones for a created version of, say, Bill Walton.
The answer is probably yes however Bill Walton would then be the only player on the 86 Celtics team with long baggy shorts since there is no option to assign short shorts to players. This whole inabilaty to edit the generic players along with not being able to assign short shorts really does make the whole possiblity of accurate classic teams take a pretty serious hit. Very disapointing.

Hold on a second I just tested this. Yes you can edit assign trade any player to and from the classic teams. I just created a player didnt edit anything just left his name first and last I assigned him to the 86 Celtics put him in the starting line up into a quick game long story Short the Created player is wearing short shorts by default of being on that team.
Did it ever occur to anyone that you shouldn't give a damn what one person thinks about jaggies. i played the PS3 demo and i didn't bother to look at reflections on the floor, i was too busy having fun with the demo. so it probably has rough edges, but it looks better than last years' version. you all can pay sixty for the game on ps3, or you can pay 120 for the 360 version sixty for the game and sixty to play online.

Or going by what you're saying we could just get the cheaper NBA2K11 pc version lol.
I think people have the right to expect the same performance out the game between each console version and yes if they don't like it they can voice their opinion with their wallet I guess.
