Preach man, preach

real talk totally agree with you. Nobody will be truly happy with official ratings system or user rating system like Rashidi famous rosters. me personally i never liked rashidi rosters based on the facts that its purely based of statistics and you cant measure ratings of that alone but like u said professor there will never be a middle ground

The great thing about this video game is it can all be edited. I am glad that I don't play much online because then it might actually affect me but because I don't it wont.

no, and dont say dont leave him open then.

Can we do anything about ray allen having a 50 rated 3 pt shooting ? when u know hes better than that.

yes just edit his attributes.

All i am saying is, ratings can be fixed. like someone said above, it will never be perfect. and its not one of the biggest flaw. and i rather let 2k dev fix stuff that we cant fix

Not to get this off-topic, but Dante Cunnigham mid range game was money his senior year. Anything out to the elbows he pretty much knocked down.

I feel you on 2K's rating system!

I used many different sites to accurately fix most of the ratings until 2K10. Rashidi use a nice system 82games.com (I think) and most of his ratings are good.

I never understood putting a limit on positions especially C's.

I agree there are a lot of players not scouted and adjusted properly... Look at players like Kleiza, McRoberts, Livingston, and a few other players that are underrated. I don't know how long it took 2K to fix Jeff Foster 50 rating and not to mention Tony Battie and his 50 close and mid-range when he has a short jumper.

Very nice post. I agree with much of this and have wondered some of these same things. It's all well and good that we can tweak, edit, modify, etc., but that's somewhat irrelevant if it's not official, particularly when playing online or away from home.

I wouldn't say this is the biggest flaw. I would say it needs to be improved though and can be a little annoying when you look at some ratings. You make some good points though. Too many ratings are given to players based off reputation. Some of the ratings make you think hmm. You will see a player X is 35% from 3pt range player Y is 36% then why is player X rated 76 and player Y 94 from 3pt range? I am not a programmer but I think the speed thing should be easy enough to change especially for the centers via patch, doubt it happens though. Dwight Howard should not be limited in speed.
