    PS3 Version

People are saying the ps3 version is real bad compared to 360 based on things like graphics, gameplay.

How bad exactly is it and is it really that big of a difference or what? Based on what I've heard ppl say about ps3 version ,it seems like they'd rather nba elite over 2k11 for ps3 for some reason.

I've never played a nba game on a console since 06 so I doubt graphics would be that big of a deal to me. But are the graphics for ps3 the same, better, worse than 2k10 on ps3?

Also, dont know if it's been answered yet or not, but does ps3 have custom soundtrack and audio?

Well there some issues with the graphics in the PS3, personally I don't mind them and yes PS3 finally has custom soundtrack.

      Re: PS3 Version

I honestly didn't notice much difference between the two demos. I don't pay much attention to the lights reflecting off the court and cosmetic things like that, but the gameplay looked very similar. Of course the PS3's gameplay is going to be a little more jaggy than the 360 version, but it's barely noticeable

I only have a PS3 and I've played the NBA 2K11 demo for it. All I'm gonna say is that it could use some anti-alaising. From what I've seen in the videos and read on the forums, the 360 version has some form of anti-alaising ( 2x or 4x ). Also, I noticed the lettering on the jerseys in the demo wasn't clear at a distance ( no texture filtering ? ).

To answer your question simply, the PS3 version looks worse than the 360 version.

This is all many of us want to know. Even more importantly, how does it compare technically to last year's on the SAME system. Not vs any console, but vs the same console.

Ok, I understand 360 has better graphics than ps3 in this game. I just find it hilarious when they compare the two like its 360 graphics vs ps2 graphics..I played the demo on ps3 and except for the some jaggies, this game looks really good.

                great question!

And also: can we finally add songs from our HDD instead of 2K11 soundtrack?

It's not major or game changing but the 360 does have more quality.

I am just as pissed as everyone else. I don't think this topic should go away. Nba 2k11 is the only game I really care about and I want the best gameplay and graphics. Even if I have to go get a 360 (my friend talked me out of it)

Anyway, there is word going around that Mike Wang from 2k knows about this and that they are going to look into it. Can anyone confirm they can clean this up or fix it all with a patch?

How could they not know about it? Hasn't anyone at 2k played this game on a PS3?

Games that are on both the 360 and ps3 usually look better on the 360. This is sad, because the ps3 is more than capable (look at ps3 exclusive games).

I've been trying to avoid this thread, because it will inevitably degenerate into a PS3 vs. 360 thing, but...

If the 360 is easier to develop for than the PS3, it makes sense that a multi-platform game will look better on it. This is true even if the PS3 is theoretically more powerful.

Developers have a limited amount of time to spend on the games. The extra time spent getting the last 10% out of the PS3 is time not spent on features or bug fixes that will apply to both platforms. This is especially true of sports games (which are on a much tighter schedule).
