Looking at the Association Trades thus far..

I'm seeing some puzzling moves to be honest. The Mavs trading Jason Kidd to the Pistons for T-Mac and Charlie V. Then they turn around and trade Jason Terry to Houston for Jordan Hill and Jared Jefferies. To top it off, they trade JJ Barea and Tyson Chandler to GSW for Biedrins and Dorell Wright. This leaves the Mavs with a loaded frontcourt and no PG besides Roddy Beaubois.

These are the types of puzzling moves that ruined the association AI last year, anybody have good experiences with the trading logic yet?

FYI, i'm getting this info from Da_Czar's association screenshots, can be found here:

      They're doing something.

The developer diary thing seems to argue that all the moves teams make are justifiable.

Sounds like they are dismantling the team.

Looks like they're in a huge rebuilding process. Did any of the guys they traded for have expiring contracts? If so, look for them to try and make a splash in free agency.

That's actually awesome if that's what they're doing. It's like the AI has given up trying to win with the current core and is looking to the future.

Judging from this picture you're right. Czar made all those trades himself, he's the Mavs user.

Wow, didn't even catch that. Well even so, there are still some questionable moves in there. Baron Davis getting traded for Nash, OKC trading Sefalosha for a 2nd rd pick and Deshawn Stevenson...actually i guess that last one was Czar again. He's ripping teams off

Yeah I don't much agree with the Nash trade either, iv'e been trying to find a justification for it and I can't. Other than that the Suns are tanking, Nash isn't getting any younger and Baron might have an expiring contract? Not sure, if someone with that knowledge could tell us it would help.

But yeah, Czar made a lot of trades, he's blowing that team up.

The trades actually look pretty fair IMO. Oddly enough, that exact Calderon/Rip trade has been discussed on the RealGM trade forum plenty of times. I'm quite impressed with the trade logic based on those screen shots.

I don't understand rebuilding teams trading with other rebuilding teams and contenders with contenders.

Or Czar, didnt actually make those trades...

I assume the CPU auto accepted those trades on his behave (you now how the CPU request trades to you; if you leave trades ON in the team assist management, the game will accept some trades for you[try it on NBA2k10])

Also a fair assessment, either way the Mavs are in for serious rebuild mode after that. If the A.I. did execute those trades, I wonder what they're record was for them to just give up on the current core like that?

                              They made the playoffs tho...

Also that Davis/Nash trade makes 0 sense...both have similar contracts, Davis has 3 years left while Nash has 2 both over 10mil...
