    New Defensive Controls?

I'm not sure if this is a known tip or not, but regardless:

While experimenting on defense (in the demo), I was able to find that by holding LT and maneuvering the Right Analog Stick (Xbox 360), you are able to move your player strategically. Keep in mind that I believe the Left Analog Stick must be neutralized while you attempt any of this. These moves are relative to the offensive player you are guarding.

LT Held + Push RS away from offensive player = Back peddle and sag-off
LT Held + Push RS left of offensive player = Aggressively sway to the left
LT Held + Push RS right of offensive player = Aggressively sway to the right
LT held + Push RS towards offensive player = Press-up and move closer

The 2nd and 3rd ones are animations that the CPU often does on defense when I practice iso-motion moves with Kobe. Hope this sparks some interest or discussion.

The cutoff move. I haven't gotten used to it.

Try using up and down when you intend to cut off left or right .. hopefully that makes sense. This was in 2k10 9hands up animation) .. seems like its gotten an upgrade though.

I know about the cutoff move and it's very effective when it's used. My problem is...

        1. 90% of the time I don't need it on the difficulty level the demo is set at.
        2. I get used to just sticking with my man with the left stick and turbo with my finger on the Y or X button ready to go for the block or steal so I'm not often prepared to use the stick on defense.

I've made a point of using it at times though and it can completely stop the drive and make them pick up their dribble.

Needs more off ball defensive control. I use Player Lock a lot, so I would love to be able to have more options on shielding my man.

what are the contols to put your hands up - I know on an in bound pass that you hold triangle but what about when your guarding a guy and just want your hands up? it used to be up on the right stick but that's not working

is there any other lists of defensive controls out there or is this it?

Its still with the right stick wyrm187, it still sucks that your guy is stuck when you do that.

The defensive cut-off move really helps online agaisnt people who try to dunk all game. As long as you time it right you can get High flyers to pick up their dribble.
