Re: Official Jordan Challenge "I beat it" "This is how I did it" Thread

I've only attempted 3 so far (The Arrival, The Shootout, and the Pistons one) I completed the Arrival and the Pistons won. I quit in the 4th during the Shootout because I knew I wasn't going to win with 2 minutes left (Dominique had 22 at that point, Jordan had 35, but I was down by 15).

The challenges are frustrating for me though. I guess it's because you practically have to cheese with MJ the whole time, it just takes me out of mentally. I'm breaking Czars cardinal rule and playing video games instead of basketball. With 8 minute quarters, I don't know if playing basketball is possible for these LOL.

I have only tried the first 2, the arrival and the cleveland one. I got them both on Hall of Fame difficulty on my first 2 tries. I got the last assist with 11 seconds left in the first one. But I got crushed by the celtics by like 30. Bird dropped 48 on me and won teh jordan brand player of the game.

The second on was much easier to me although I think it is because I spent a few hours in practice mode learning all of the isomotion stuff. Also because you have pippen so to get the easy assists you can lob it up to him on the fastbreaks. We beat them by like 19.

yea I thought it would be a big cheese fest but like a lot of the points I scored seemed somewhat within the offense. I ran some pick and rolls, attacked the basket, shot a ton of free throws. Fould out multiple opposing big men. Push the tempo because it is only 8 min qtrs. Also His midrange jumper is almost automatic so you dont need to get all the way to the basket. Settling for the 10-15 footer is pretty much a layup for MJ.

Guys? Do you know if you can play this mode like My player (only control MJ) or do you have to use/control the whole team?

Just finished the flu game and was successful on my first try. Took the entire 2 quarters to complete the points goal of the challenge while throwing an occasional pass to a cutter and got like 1-2 assists in the way.

I had 38 already with 2 mins left in the second so after that I switched MJ to center so he'd be closer to the basket.. then after playing tight d I would switch to MJ quickly and go for the rebound. Then played point guard with MJ the rest of the way and only had to get like 3 more assists since I had gotten some in the first few quarters along the way.

How to score easily? Just use the momentum moves to shake your defender a bit and shoot. MJ is going to make most of the jumpers so have confidence in your shooting and let them go. He will also make leaners as long as you create at least a little bit of distance from your player. Scoring was fairly easy to be honest.

And that's pretty much how. I'll try the other ones later tonight, for now i'm back to team up and ranked.
