Changing defensive matchups - Still completely broken.

It saddens me to report that this still hasn't been fixed. I had my hope high it was after see some vids. But switching defensive matchups doesn't work at all. I was orlando playing classic lakers. I go in and choose Pietrus to cover Magic Johnson, and chose him as preferred. Only 1 time in the entire game did Pietrus cover Johnson. 4 12 minutes quarters plus overtime. only once in his 30 minutes did he cover Johnson.

Hmmm never saw this as I was just playing and it worked for me. I was playing the lakers vs heat. I had mike miller guard derek fisher and wade on kobe and it stuck the whole game.

Since when is this feature broken ? I'm constantly using it in 2k9 and rarely had any problems with it. Unnecessary defensive switching seems to be a slight problem there anyways but players are following orders of whom to defend, at least for me.

au contraire. Defensive matchups and settings work more than ever this year. I've had great success using these to limit my opponents.

+1 for it working for me. Dirk Nowizki(?) and the Mavs kills me every year for some reason. Dirk usually goes for 30-40 points. I was using Blazers and kept Oden and Camby on him throughout the game. Rarely did my 2 bigs come off of dirk.

It's working just fine for me, the only time it doesn't work properly is when I mistakenly cover the wrong guy then the CPU is on my opponent for the possesion.

I had Pippen covering Magic like he did in real life, and had no problems.

Seer are the Lakers getting alot of fast breaks on you? Fast breaks cause defensive mismatches which may be why Pietrus isnt on Magic.

not at all, I play a slow pace game. and on defense I play with the center.

i have as to no clue why he said that it never worked for him i had and still not having n e defensive asignments problems...unless he doesnt know that it occurs on dead bal situations for the changes to take place

Seriously dude this is not broken! It works. I dont know if its ever been broken.

I did think the same thing when I played the intro game, not realizing that I had changed my D to 2-3 Zone. If you expect defensive assignments to work in a zone then D assignments is broken.

are people just playing one game and then saying things are broken? This worked for me when I switched defense on DRose last night and other games
