Game lagging in single player?!?

Not sure what happened, but today (just now) i turned on the game, fired up a quick game after downloading some rosters and sliders and the game was most definitely lagging like it never had before.
I thought i may have been something with the rosters/sliders so i fired up all the default stuff and it was still going on. I'm on the 360 so i was thinking maybe the new Dashboard may have messed something up, but i'm pretty sure i was playing yesterday and it was just fine.
Did anybody else notice anything?
I have the game installed to disk btw.
I'm just perplexed, and it's definitely ruining the game for me.

Nevermind....restarted my Xbox and that fixed it apparently. Still shouldn't happen though, but whatever

I noticed the same thing on the 360 sometimes (very rare). Solution was to turn off the online connection (not restarted the console).
