Ridiculous-ness in my player

Is MyPlayer completely broken for anyone else? (Post-patch, obviously.)

If I play on pro, I win easy. If I play on any other difficulty, my team gets absolutely demolished. My teammates become absolute morons.

I play for the Celtics, and we just played the Mavs. We were actually up by 11 with around 2:30 left in the 4th quarter (I sat the whole 4th until then) and I was shocked we may actually win a game on a higher difficulty. The second I hit the court, the Mavs caught fire and we lost. It was just absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't make anything and they couldn't miss.

Example Celtics statlines:
Rondo: 43 minutes, 6 points, 1 board, 11 assists, 3 turnovers on 3-9 shooting
Ray Allen: 38 minutes, 10 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, 3 turnovers on 3-14 shooting
Kevin Garnett: 38 minutes, 13 points, 7 boards, 1 assist, 0 turnovers on 6-18 shooting
Pierce: 34 minutes, 10 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 0 turnovers on 3-14 shooting
Me: 34 minutes, 28 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, 3 turnovers (:o) , on 13-18 shooting.

Mavericks statlines:
Caron Butler: 46 minutes, 31 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, 1 turnover on 14-23 shooting
Jason Terry: 43 minutes, 28 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 turnover on 10-18 shooting (4-5 on three pointers)
Dirk: 44 minutes, 22 points, 12 boards, 3 assists, 1 turnover on 11-18 shooting
Marion: 32 minutes, 14 points, 5 boards, 1 assist, 1 turnover on 7-11 shooting

How am I supposed to win when my supposed top 4 have 39 between them on 15-55 (27%) shooting and the opposing team's top 4 have 95 on 42-70 (60%) shooting?

Any fixes for this? Should the game style be set to Default or Simulation? Anything helps... Sick of stat lines like this.

I had the exact same problem so I just abandoned My Player mode. Hopefully it is better next year.

Yea I was definitely having a lot of the same problems. It seems like getting your passing and offensive awareness up helps a little bit but even more than that ESTABLISHING A RHYTHM on offense is what's really important. The best way to do this is just to play through your post players if you have a good one (KG in your case). I'm a 2 guard for the Knicks and anytime Amare gets over 20 we usually have a good shot at winning, same thing when I played for the Rockets with Yao. I play on all-star/sim.

This mode is unplayable, at least for me. Just paused the game. My team (Kings) is 8/28 from the floor. I'm 8/8. Second Quarter, 32-19 Nuggets. My team FG avg is about 28-32% every game. Just can't do it. I've got Evans about 4-19 every game, Landry is 5-20.. I'm 32 games into the season and we're 5-27. I can't play this mode unless theres a solution to this awful shooting.. Any suggestions?

You summed it up. If you watch closely you'll notice that your teammates don't contest shots, don't jump for rebounds, and settle for contested jumpers instead of attacking the basket.

I'm a PF for the Cavs, and if I miss a pick or if I'm slow getting to my spot, Mo just jacks a contested trey. Every time. Like if the play isn't run perfectly, the only thing the CPU can think to do is just launch it.

It's a fun mode, but the AI is terrible.

I play centre for the Magic, all was going along nicely until the patch came out. VC just bombs 3 after 3 now, it's absolutely ridiculous. Last game i played he was 2/15!!! from downtown. Stupid

While I will agree that My Player needs a fix and the patch has had some iffy effect on it, there is a way to win! I play on All-Sim/Sim 8 min quarters SF/Point Forward for the Spur and I dictate how my team plays. By this I mean I only allow them to run the plays that I want them to and know what the play is going to do and act accordingly. Since the patch Manu Ginobili has been a black hole. Whenever he gets the ball he is going to shoot it. He does not care where he is or how many defenders are on him, he is going to jack it up. I have come to expect and react to it.
As soon as I see the 12 quick called or any other play for Manu Ginobili, I start watching him. Just before Parker passes it to him I run straight to the basket. My rebounds have increased from 7.something (3rd or 4 in the league) to 16.2(first). I Increased my inside scoring and just rebound and get easy putbacks.
If we are down and I see a play called for Ginobili I hit L2 (PS3) to cancel the play. Then run around the screen and call for the ball. It does not work all the time. Parker sometimes ignores me and throws up some crappy shot. But I learned to judge his mood and act accordingly.
We just swept the Blazers in the first round after going 71-11 in the season. I am beasting in the playoff with 32ppg, 18rpg, 3apg and oh yeah 5 turnover per game. What can I say; I try to thread the needle a little too much. That and the CPU cheats!

Can't do it. I've just played a game that we lost 102-48. I scored 20 but that should not matter anything. Shooting was abysmal for my players. They cant hit it inside, layups, WIDE OPEN medium shots.. It's ridiculous. It's so unrealistic that it hurts.

This is pretty depressing because I really like the concept of this mode, but I'm seeing basically the same thing. I am on my last summer league game, and I have yet to win a game, or really even be close. My team is just abysmal shooting the ball. I can only get an assist if I manage to hit a cutter going to the basket. Maybe they'll release another patch to help with shooting % numbers.

It's a great idea, but could certainly use tuning. THe other change I would make would be to not make your player a scrub...at least give us the option to bring the next Lebron into the league...

How was MyPlayer before the patch? I might reinstall the game and keep it off the net just to play a decent My Player mode.

Considering the fact that your guy will be rated 75-99 after the first season should confirm that you are bringing the next LeBron into the league. If they allowed people to start off extremely high than they should take away the whole skill points thing because I would be a 99 20 games into the season. Funny thing is, if the overalls were moved up, I bet we see complaints about too many 99's and too easy to get good, not challenging.

EDIT:
Why bring in the next LeBron when you can bring in Jordan himself? He starts off a 79, I think. Do that mode.

After my first 10 games I can officialy state that this mode is broken.

I'm a SG and was drafter to Thunder. Great opportunity for me since the SG there is not great.

What do I get in my games, though?

The same 3 plays, over and over again. Over and over again.

Durant shooting imposibble 3s, all the time. My teas is unable to play properly, they almost always never find space (since they play only 3 plays), contested shots almost never going in.

I can't understand it. This is isn't basketball. How can people enjoy this?

In addition, no custom sliders and rosters are allowed, which means a really unrealistic enviroment.

I was really pumped up for this but unfortunately it seems that there is no joy to be found.

The most annoying thing is the plays and the missing shots.

VERY disappointed.
