Is shooting is broken ?

Recently I have been having alot of issues with the shooting in this game, for some reason the players will pass the ball when I trying to attempt a shot with the shot stick, I am trying to find out if others are having this issue as well or if there is something wrong with my controller that is causing this, I am on the PS3 just for added information.

check your controller config. It may need changed back to default.

Yea, check your controller layout. The only problems i have with shooting, is it seems that the shot stick timing is just off. Its waaayyy too sensitive. I barely have to press the button and they are shooting the ball with a release point too late. My teams also are either hitting everything, like 65% or nothing at all, sub 30%

Well, if the shooting was broking in your described way, this would be a massive bug and the boards would be full of complaints about it. Even if only a part of the people had it...
Better check your controller configuration.

the control setting was on default, I decided to erase all to my 2k files and start over have not had the control issue since, figured others were not having this issue.

Also if your icon passing is on, the stick becomes a pass button. Make sure you pull your icons down before shooting.

Sounds like the game thought you were using r-stick passing. Happens to me far too often, but that's my fault.
