Got a question about Injuries in NBA 2k11, not sure if this is normal

I am playing with the nuggets and of course Anthony scores 28 points in the first half, then goes down(right away in second half)with an injury that will sideline him 2-4 weeks, sucks cause well he is by far the best player, now I gotta adjust to playing without him.

I have two questions about injuries, first of all after only playing one game since Anthony's injury, his recovery time went from 2-4 weeks to 1-2 weeks after only one game. The Celtics in my franchise lost Kevin Garnett about two weeks or three weeks ago due to injury, and first it was only only 2-4 weeks, but just when it was his time to come back, On the NBA today headlines or whatever its called,(the main franchise screen that tells you all of the days news) Anyway it says that Kevin Garnett had to have surgery on his injury and how will be out 2-4 weeks more. So i got two different things going on one side I got Anthony coming back early , the other side Garnett injury will require surgery. So do players really come back early from injury sometimes, and do some injuries at first not appear bad but later require more time or a surgery. The book sucks so its not in there, or any info about injuries. I also dont see a way to speed up healing on a player, like using a spa or other treatments like other recent sports game have.

I posted this in another a few days ago. But I thought I'd share. One time in a game vs my friend. Amare got fouled hard on the way to the basket. And was injured. I went to check the injury report. And it said he had the flu.

Maybe the other player who fouled him had the Flu, and gave it to Amare? :kanyeshrug:

it could have something to do with team trainers. you'll notice in the off season that when you resign staff and hire a trainer, their 'talent level' (A, B, C or whatever) effects how long players take to recover. For example, i think an 'A' grade trainer means your players will recover 20% quicker than the injury typically keeps someone out for. i dont know if it is 20% but i know it is a higher number than a B or C grade trainer. this may be one factor in the variation in time out for players with the exact same injuries. i would also suggest age would be too, and KG's body might be catching up with him
