Does weight and strength factor in this game in any way? for example, when I try to do the post offense drill, I can't seem to back down some people. Is that because of my player's weight and strength that i'm using or his post offense rating vs the defenders post defense rating?

I prefer someone with height and young.

Also, how much does weight factor in this game?

Yep, that's because of the weight, and the strength rating. Post offense and defense only affect the type of moves the offensive post players can make, and if the shot is successful. Post defense also affects whether the shot will be successful, so as you can see a lot of ratings apply in almost everything you do, which I think is kind of cool.

Anyways, I recommend just developing Taj Gibson for your PF. It would take out the trade factor so you don't unnecessarily trade away important assets, and it's not like Gibson is bad, he's a pretty darn good player and his shot release is easy to get down compared to Boozer's.

            Good luck.

Cole Aldrich. Use an untapped potential on him and work a bit on his rebounding/post D/post O and he becomes a beast.

thanks. i cannot get Boozer's shot to save my life. i noticed that Taj is better defensively and with work can be better offensively. still would like some young PF ideas for other Associations.

I dont know if he counts but andre blatche is a hidden gem. Even Donte Green from Kings is decent after a couple years as a backup sf/pf.

Patrick Patterson is another pick. Rockets are loaded at their PF/C positions. Patrick Patterson is athletic enough to play some minutes at the 3, rebounds the ball well, finishes strong and has a bit of a jump shot.

Re: Hidden Gems at PF or C?

I back Larry Sanders. Bogut got hurt so I started Sanders at C (I control all 30 teams and then pick which games to play). I played as the Heat against the Bucks and Sanders put up 26 or 28 and 8 on me. Nobody else on the Bucks could hit a shot to save their lives, but he was money.

Edit: Jordan Hill also seems to do well. He's more defensive-minded but seems to progress well.

DJ White....automatic from mid range. Plus he's a good rebounder/defender

if you are looking for more of a defensive guy, DeJuan Blair is your guy. he is a rebounding machine. His overall came up by 3 or 4 in the 1st season of my Spurs chise.
