How Do you do the Dream Shake?
Hey fellas, I was wondering how you do the Dream Shake out of the post? I use the Celtics a lot and Garnett does a version of it in real life where he will shoulder fake left-right-left or vice versa real quick usually followed by a turn around or fade away. I see the CPU do it against me quite a bit too but I cant seem to figure out how to pull it off.Tags: None -

The Dream Shake
That's the Dream Shake done by the man himself, Hakeem Olajuwon.
The move you are referring to from the post is indeed a shimmy shake, very similar to the Dream Shake but not the real deal.
To do the Dream Shake it's a momentum shot, where you're going one direction, and press the right stick in the opposite direction, then you can shot branch from there for up and unders or just pull up for the fadeaway J. Different players have different momentum shots and in some situations you'll need to fake using the Clutch button.
To learn all this stuff I highly encourage you to enter practice mode and start experimenting. I've spent many of hours in practice mode trying to perfect certain moves, and in doing so I still stumble across new moves. Which is crazy since I've played well over 250+ games....Comment

You guys are right, its not quite the Dream Shake but its similar. Ive tried to just use the shoulder fake where you flick stick left or right but maybe Im not doing it fast enough. I cant seem to chain the shoulder fakes together fast enough to make it work. When the computer does it it looks like one fluid animation. Left-right-left-fadeaway real quick. Ive gone through the practice tutorials numerous times but that move itself isnt in there.Comment

I thought to do the Kevin Garnett one you just get in the post and tap the shot stick Left twice or Right twice.
A really good move to try is hold the LT and do that so it will do a shimmy pump fake and then let go of the trigger and push the right stick to that same side so he'll do a shimmy, fake like he's gonna shoot and pivot and then turn again and pull up for a fadeaway jumper. Really gets the defender off balance.NFL: Bills
