Abuse exploits vs Exploit opponents errors

Alot of people online seem to confuse the two. When your abusing a exploit, your constantly using something within the game that is considered "cheesy" and 9-10 cant be stopped. When you exploit your opponent errors your attacking a spot caused by your opponent's own mistakes (ex. playing a weak 2-3 so you call a play that spaces your players out and kill them from 3 until he/she goes back to man. Or places someone in one of the wholes in the zone for a mid j). People quick to call you a cheeser just because their sour over the fact that you know how to play the game and exploit mistakes. How do they think the spurs have such a great record. They exploit mistakes and make you pay for it. Thats why i love this game; you can do so much without resorting to "cheesy" tactics and have a blast doing it.

Agreed. I love running a pick and pop with one of my big guys and then coming back down and running a pick and roll and watching the opponent try to anticipate my screener popping to the 3 point line and getting an uncontested layup instead. Or my personal favorite is the wrist-roll (in and out move). It doesn't do much against the AI, but when a human opponent is covering you, man that move can get the opponent to fall over.

i played a kid last night in a ranked game...I was my C's he was the Miami Heat. He killed me 1st half because all he kept doing was using LeBron to drive using the euro step & score a lay up or draw foul everytime. So 2nd half i went to 1-3-1 zone & in the 2nd half he scored a total of 9 points with miami meanwhile i scored 20+ & was trailing by 9 at the half. I used the pump fake foul a couple times in the game & that's it because he kept jumping like kriss kross. & i did'nt make every free throw neither & won because Pierce & Ray Ray i hit shots in the clutch with. & he gave me a bad 2k rating where i abuse exploits & messaged me calling ME The Cheeser. It's funny cause reason why he lost was cause i contained his non stop LeBron driving & turned him into a jump shooter in which he shot poorly & my ball movement of course was on point. so I exploited his errors played 1-3-1 controlled the Center most the time & took hold of his weakness. So i Agree with you Kennyacid.

I couldn't agree more. The thing is their is just not very much that I see as being cheese anymore except for the spin dunk out of the post and the spin dunk in general. On occasion while driving I will do a spin dunk trying to do a specfic dunk and as soon as I do it I usually pause, apologize and state I will try not to do that again. The drawing a foul with a pump fake is part of the game. I have the people like you that jump around with abandonment and that is one way to get them to back off with the quickness. I had a guy last night that fouled me 34 times and he just would not stop lunging and going for a block everytime I pulled up. People need to learn how to play with their feet, use their body, and position to play defense. You can contest shots without leaving your feet!

What are some the things ya'll would consider cheese in this game now?

Is it an exploit to cherry pick or is it smart because their my isn't getting back on defense?

How? Cuz that the whole "hands up" animation that u can do with the right stick very rarely works.

Eh, I don't really like to cherry pick. If one of their big guys dunks it or something and falls to the ground, I won't hesitate to throw a full court pass to hit the open big man, or if my CPU teammates happen to leak out, I'll throw it to them for an easy layup, but I think it's kinda BS when guys just sprint down the court after every shot goes up because it's pretty hard to actually get your players to go back on defense.
