Say I have 99 speed and I do the dribble course drill. Would it be impossible for the dribble course to reward me with speed or do the speed rewards get converted into skill points?

Those points will just upgrade the other ratings listed.

ah good to know. so instead of getting +1/+2 in speed, the +1/+2 points will go into the other skills.
i havent figured out how i'll do it on my PG but for my center, my max speed is 75 so i actually sell off 2 points and leave it at 73 and wear +3 speed in shoes so i end up w/ an overall speed rating of 76. then when i do the dribble course, i'll get +1/+2 in speed bringing me up to 77 or 78 and just sell back the point or two and use those points (usually ~1000 each) to buy into other skills
