NBA Today Postseason! Awesome!

I LOVE this game! I'm playing an NBA Today game between the Lakers and the Hornets and they not only are up to par with commentary about it being the playoffs, but they also had a commercial break discussing upcoming games, gave the REAL final score to the SPurs and Grizzlies! Wow! This game set a standard for all others in presentational department!!!! Loving it! #NBA2K11

There is so much more I am not even describing here...just play a game in the NBA Today screen and enjoy the magic!

I really didn't like that in the NBA Today games, the Playoffs logo wasn't on the court.

In Association Mode, you see the Playoffs logo everywhere...on the courts, on the replays, etc.

But not in the regular NBA Today matches.

That's weird. When I turned on my 2K11 there were no NBA Today games for me

I didn't give that a try. My friends and I started a playoff in game modes. And went from there. There seems to be alot more excitement by the players during and after the game. But I'll check it out and report with my findings

Bummer, but all the other information sounds really cool in the original post. I feel like I knew all of that already, but maybe overlooked it. The final scores of other playoff games is really cool. I agree through, it would be nice if they had all the playoff related art as well.

There's honestly enough features in NBA2K11 that I'm not sure I can give them all the time I want to. I'm not sure that's happened before. As cool as NBA Today is, I'm not sure I've really messed with it because I've been spending my time in Association, My Player Mode, Jordan Challenge, or using Retro Year Rosters.

So is this only for XBox Live Gold users then? Because I just have silver and played the Indiana-Chicago game and didn't notice anything different.

I'll have to check this out later. I seem to remember 2K10 having the Playoffs/Finals logos on the court when you played NBA Today games.

To the above poster, you don't need Gold to play NBA Today and get the Living Rosters. It's available to anyone that has the game, as long as you are connected to XBL.

i like how during the pregame, they reference the actual series record. this game has a lot of great little touches.

thats weird that the court doesnt have any playoff logos...

The NBA today games don't seem to have that playoff atmosphere though. Playing in association or the playoff mode, the crowd is going crazy, while the today games just sound like regular games.

This was true for the first few playoff games, but it is there now. Also, they are using a playoff graphic before instant replays. Lot's more emotion after fouls, seeing some animations I had not seen before there. And the entire team and bench are more excited after wins.

I'm starting to think they can slip updates in without the game notifying you at start up, because they have fixed a few things as far as playoff atmosphere since the real life playoffs started.
