Or youth in the starting lineup. I'd be happy to see them move one of their big 4 (Garnet, Allen, or Peirce. Not Rondo) and pick up some youth either from the draft or from another team. They need someone who won't get hurt and can put up a lot of numbers.

Cheers mate, after spoiling my magic association with unrealistic trades, I'm just wondering what you think 1 or 2 realistic trades for the Celtics?

Paul isn't going anywhere. Soo which one goes Ray or KG? I cant see either one gone. Only way is both of them and Green.

Would they actually trade Garnett and Allen in your opinion? If they were to go, who are some realisitic IN's then?

It's your game mate, don't let anyone else deem what is realistic or unrealistic... just enjoy it.

Fact is the Celtics probably wouldn't trade any of their big four except for Rondo AFTER the other three have retired IF a rebuild is required, it's a loyalty thing. Try developing Avery Bradley, he looks like a player in game that you could put a lot of work into to help the team out.

But, hey... if you wanna play with the Celtics, you could always trade one of the big three (older guys) for some made up reason and just see what the best offer you get is. Just enjoy the game I say.

I imported an Isaiah Rider created player for that exact reason, and he is my starting SG with the Wolves.

I believe that, in real life, the Celtics wouldn't trade any of them. However if I was in charge and wouldn't get all of Boston mad at me, I'd send KG on his way. The guy gets injured too much, and can be replaced by a dominate center/PF mix. HOWEVER, you probably want scoring or something. In that case, I'd say Pierce could go and you might be able to pick up a fast, run and gun SF.

I wouldn't move Ray Allen. The dude has an awesome jump shot.

But again, it's your association. You play it as is. A lot of players don't like seeing people take their associations to extreme heights and manage to get every great player in the league, and then brag about it. But hey, if you can get a solid big 3, 4 or even 5 lineup, no one can be mad

I'd just trade off some bench players and get a young defensive center. They should never have traded away Perkins.

Re: What's missing from the Celtics?

Boston is in a tricky situation. I wouldn't trade any of the big 3 if you are looking for realism. Assuming you wouldn't want to trade Rondo, I'd look to trade Davis or Green. Both are about the same age, and I believe Green has more potential. Throw one of them in with someone like D. West and/or Troy Murphy, and you should be able to trade for a good center like Andrew Bogut, Roy Hibbert, Marc Gasol, ect.

                    If you can get a good center and keep someone like J.Oneal for bench depth, then you just need to find a backup SF and PG. Here's how my lineup looks in season 2 of one of my Associations;
                    Rondo
                    Allen
                    Pierce
                    Garnett
                    M.Gasol

                    Bradley
                    Wafer
                    Davis
                    Tristan Thompson (draft)
                    J.Oneal
                    Reggie Williams

You'd be a bad GM for Boston. No way Pierce should ever leave. He's the only one still consistent. He's always been consistent. He is an extremely underrated player
                      It's a canes thing.

Wow, thanks for the constructive feedback. However, celtics are the one team I don't care to follow well. I never enjoyed watching them play, and probably never will until a new 5 come in. Something about buying great players to win doesn't sit well for me. I love watching teams develop players instead of just buying them.

If I honestly was controlling the Celtics in an Association, I would only move KG for another star player to replace him. However, I don't do that without playing a few games first. If they are winning well, I'd simple move around the bench and get some young guns to take the stars place when they retires. But I never plan on playing as them, so nevermind.
