If you're just talking about the teaser, your guess is as good as anyone's (except the devs who sometimes stop by). I will guess that they're just talking about the greatest game because of how often they tote the "greatest sports game ever" reviews. -

I think they were saying "the greatest" as in the greatest teams and players. I'm pretty sure that teaser was released around the time of the Finals, and it showed a bunch of players like Rose, Kobe, KG, Chris Paul, and others whose teams had been eliminated, implying that those guys would be back next year with a vengeance.Comment

I agree with this, though that is not the intent of the teaser since Dwyane Wade was in the commercial though Miami was still in the playoffs. I agree that it would be more the premise of the game -- return of the great game and great players, etc.Comment

Eh, Mike was cool for one year, but I don't really want a player who doesn't play anymore becoming the face of a game based on the current NBA. Unless he makes a comeback, let's put a current player on there.Comment

Agree 100%. People keep talking about how great it would be if 2k put all the older NBA greats in the game...and while the whole Jordan mode was fun at first...it's also the reason modes like My Player are a complete and total mess, because they spent most of their dev time making teams that played 10-20 years ago instead of actually working on the main modes/gameplay and getting the current players right. I want NBA 2k12....not NBA 97....Comment
