Reggie and the Pacers?

Was not completely surprised last year that the Pacers didn't make the cut in the classic teams but I am starting to grow suspicious now. Not wanting to start a flame war or anything but the Pacers were pretty darned good back when Reggie was playing. Anyone know if this is just a 'they weren't quite good enough' deal or is there some issue with Reggie specifically like Jordan was before?

I would love to be able to recreate some of the Knicks and Pacers match-ups plus 2K could have a great time with animating Reggie's flopping prowess. One of the best players and best actors who ever played IMO.

It is not as simple as they want them in the game there fore they are in the game, they have to go out and get individuals from those classic teams permission to have them in the game. Da Czar said that 2k wanted to include alot more teams but could not get key players on those teams to sign on to being in a video game, that is the reason the 93 Suns are not in the game as well because Barkley refused to be in the game.

Re: Reggie and the Pacers?

Simply...Reggie isn't that good. He's nowhere near the caliber of players that we have on the Legends list.

He was on good teams, he was good player, but to be called a "Legend"? Nah.

He doesn't/didn't want to be in the game. His reasons, specifically? Who knows.

Re: Reggie and the Pacers?

Miller isnt in the class of most of the guys in the Legends pool. We're talking guys who are on most people's top 10-20 GOAT lists. His numbers just dont stack up. That aside those Pacers teams were very good and made for some excellent series. In any case, as has been mentioned, he wont sign on for the game anyway. Just like Barkley.

Re: Reggie and the Pacers?

He probably refused when 2K told him that his virtual-self can't have that signature choking animation vs the Knicks.

Reggie isn't that good? Reggie is a legend! He was on good teams? He was the star of those teams.

Re: Reggie and the Pacers?

^^
Guess is depends on how you define what a legend is. Certainly you dont mean it in the same sense as we use it to describe guys like MJ, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Russell ect. He simply wasnt in their class as a player.
