I was wondering in 2K11 with the late 90's Bulls how to have SF Scottie Pippen bring the ball up from time to time, without actually substituting him in as PG. I have seen this with LeBron on Miami & Hedo on Orlando, but not Pippen. -

You're correct. Although coaches usually force you to play a second position. My PG played a lot of SG in the beginning and my C was PF half the time.
Maybe this time, our My Players could play 3 positions thanks to this. That'd be something to write about

You could choose a secondary position for your my player in 2k11 ... I chose to be a PF/SF ... then again, during game instances and mostly due to roster movements that caused faults on rotation depth, I was placed on other positions such as SG & C ...Comment

Meh, I hope they implement the positions this year properly.
In 2K11, I was SF, then when I played for the Heat, I play SG, PF, and C. My player height was 6"7 BTW.Comment

Definitely! The coaching (and teamate ai for that matter) are by far the biggest improvements needed. I spent some time at PF, SF, SG which was my chosen position as a 6'4" 190 Lbs player.
I don't know how far player coach interaction is going to go this year but it'd be nice if the coach approached you about a position switch. For example if you're a 6'4" sg the coach might approach you and say "I think you could help the team by running the pg, how do you feel about trying that out for a few games?"
That's just one small example, it'd be nice to feel like you had some sort of interaction with your coach and teammates. I'd prefer that over cribs, buying cars and stuff of that nature.Comment

If I create Jimmer Fredette at the 1 and his secondary position is 2 how would that work when he cant guard any 2s?

In 2K11 the game would assign you a secondary position depending on your player type, height and weight. So the ability to choose your sec. position is not guaranteed in 2K12.Comment

One have always been able to choose a secondary position, what it is not guaranteed is that one would exclusively play in the selected positions ... as has been said, player type, height and weight are huge parts that determine where would one play ... as is the result of rotation depth due to the trades the AI does (this latest is the most common and relevant).Comment
