nba 2k12 on PS3...hoping its better!

hey fellas just seeing if i can get some feedback on this topic...NBA 2K12 ON PS3!!! I love the visuals of 2k hoops games, and the realism that i'm guessing comes along with it...i own a ps3 and last year i decided to trade my copy of 2k11 in because i just didn't think it played all that well on the ps3. I read many threads and posts talking about the game being made for xbox and then being ported over to play on ps3...all i know is this: when i played nba2k11 on my ps3 it just seemed like my stick movements didn't match up with what was happening on the court.

not sure how quite to explain it...but maybe like my stick movements were kind of guiding my player to do something, but not able to really make quick cuts, the analog shot seemed like it was really slow and i just didn't feel like i was in control of what was happening all the time.

i want so much to fall in love with a nba2k game but just not sure it'll happen playing it on the ps3 console.

does anyone else feel the same way about the game on ps3?

if so can someone tell me why it's like that?

and does anyone know if it'll be better this year?

I've played 2k on ps3 for years and have never had that problem. Never played it on xbox so I guess I'm a bit biased, but I never liked the feel of xbox controllers.

^ Past couple of years the game has been full of jaggies on PS3. The 360 version is 10x sharper.

I had the game on both the x360 and the PS3 and the PS3 version was just plain horrible when compared to the 360 version. I don't quite know what is it but visually it was clearly inferior to the 360 version as well as the controls certainly didn't feel as responsive nor the force feedback.

I ended up giving my nephew cause I frankly couldn't play it after being exposed to the 360 version.

I switched to 360 from the PS3 version

and will never look back again.. Controls feel more responsive, graphics and colors are better, and the gameplay is way better.

Not to mention how much better the online is.. Trying to get a game on the ps3 is 10x harder than 360

Never had a problem with the game. The jaggies aren't even that prevalent to me, but then again I don't sit there looking for those things.

I will never buy this game on my ps3, i only buy on xbox and pc, but might just be a pc buy for me this year.... looking a the E3 gameplay video it was on ps3 demonstrating move, that was enough to show me that ps3 version will be crappy again this year... so xbox and pc version for me a i started to think, xbox because of updates (pc user have to wait forever for patch), pc version for mods... ps3 version "NeVeR"1

I just hope that it is more of a priority to devs this year. I want the same game experience that I would get as if on the 360. There was a noticeable difference between the games last year and I hope... and pray it is on par.

Jaggies are an issue with PS3 games as a whole. I don't think NBA 2K has done anything different.

xbox360 - 2k's favorite console. they made the games for this console.
pc - cheapest. beats console versions graphically when game is modded.
ps3 - more powerful than xbox360 but it always gets ported games from the latter.

ps3 is the worst version of d three. i like d controllers though.

Maybe next gen consoles will be a little more even par so ports won't lack the True gaming potential.

I have never played 2K on the 360, so I don't know what it feels/looks/plays like. Therefore, can't say that the PS3 is bad. But after reading so many comments about the PS3 version, I realized there is an issue here.

I guess it's our fault (the consumers) when we keep buying it (I will buy it for the PS3). But then again, there isn't much that we can do. If we don't buy it for the PS3, they'll keep making it for the 360 because there are enough people who buy the 360 version or both versions (360 and PS3). It's not like all PS3 owners have only a PS3...and that's where the problem is. And along with the PC, they have more than enough units sold. Either way, they don't really have a reason to fix it on the PS3. They will sell well either way...

That's the sad thing. There isn't anything that can force them to fix the PS3 version. Unless you told me that Sony sets standards for PS3 games and 2K needs to "pass it". Then again, it hasn't had any effect so far.

The reason it's ported to the ps3 is because the xbox 360 came out first. Therefore, the game was made on xbox 360 first. The ps2 came out before the original xbox and all the games were ported to the xbox.

Yet, I remember reading on many PS2/Xbox reviews, that the Xbox versions looked better.
