The NCAA March Madness series used to have some of the top women's teams on the game. However I would guess that many people didn't play as the ladies. I forget what year(s) it was but I remember it being on the original Playstation.

NCAA March Madness 2001 has just about everything that any college basketball fan would ever look for in a videogame representation of the sport. It has everything that was in last year's version, including a comprehensive Dynasty mode, the Women's Sweet 16...

lol i like watching the wnba from time to time, but there's no way people would buy a standalone wnba game. i'd love to see 2K include WNBA teams in future games though. maybe seperate em into their own mode (though i have to admit it'd be fun to own them with nba teams)
