    NBA2K12 in 3D

OK, so I just brought my NBA2K12 home from Gamestop. I havent put it in yet.
On the back of the box, it says that the game is 3D capable.
I have a brand new TV that does 3D. Havent had opportunity to use that feature.
    I'm playing on a PS3.
What magic things do I need to do to watch my new NBA2K12 on my brand new 3D television set in 3D?

        1) I've got the glasses

        2) What's a 3D box? And where do I plug it in?

        3) Avatar is really the only great 3D movie, other than the legendary Pyranha 3D starring Riley Steele.
So I guess I would be spending $$ for video games only. Other than Riley Steele movies.

          Re: NBA2K12 in 3D

Is the 3d built into the tv or is it just 3d capable? If its the latter then i dont beleive you need the 3d box but if the tv is just 3d capable then you need the box to convert the screen to 3d.

Oh geez, now you're asking me something technical.
I have a 3D option on my menu. I assume that means the 3D feature is already inmy set.

(All of this to watch Bill Russell in B&W LOL)

I wouldn't expect much. Current consoles are way underpowered for 3D. It takes a semi-high end computer to get good 3D gaming without hiccup. Chances are you'll put on the glasses, and the menus and still shots will look nice, but it'll trip over itself while in action.

Just be careful playing on a 3D TV. I'm in nursing school and we just read a study about 3D TV causing eye damage and chronic headaches when used for extended periods of time. The cause is thought to be the glasses because they flicker on and off so fast working w/ the TV to create the 3D image, but that is very bad for your 3rd cranial nerve which controls the dilation of your pupils, so your eyes are constantly trying to adjust. This is especially harmful in dark rooms. Now I'm not telling you to not do it because it's not bad to use it in small doses (couple hours), but i wouldn't recommend pulling all nighters in 3D

But on subject playing games and watching movies in 3D is amazing

Not an issue on passive sets, FWIW.

My 3d tv is amazing, I love it, but this game isn't a good use for it. The images suffer big time, and the depth isn't there. Nice try and gimmick, but I played one quarter in 3D for grins, but went back to 2D.
