CPU Pump Fakes Too Much.

Everytime I close out on a shooter the cpu always pump fakes. No matter who it is or what team. They always make whatever shot follows the play no matter who it is it, even if I don't bite on it and contest with the RS analog, its weird. Anyone else notice this?

i dont mind a whole lot, but i agree that it's kind of excessive. even scrubs are savvy enough to give you a couple fakes to get a shot off

I wouldn't mind if there was some variety. It just seem like the same results almost every play. Good d thinking im shutting them down, close out, cpu pump fakes, I stand there with my hands up or try to jump to contest and my guy is nailed to the floor while he swishes the shot like he's in an empty gym.

Get used to using right stick hands up. Usually works especially inside the paint...until they shoot a three on your face...

I thought I was the only one noticing this. The AI rarely finishes with any kind of rhythm. They always stop on a dime in the lane and go into a series of herky-jerky fakes. It makes the block shot button almost useless. Most times you just end crashing into the offensive player.

Highly annoying and incredibly difficult to adjust to after years of playing a certain way.

That has not been working for me in the paint. Once they get in there with the pump fake Im in a bad spot. Sometimes low ranked players hit tough inside shots on like 3 of my defenders.

This is called being smarter than your opponent if I see someone running closing out on me imma give a pumpfake too this AI play this year is amazing I love the gameplay everything about this game has made me happy

I know what you mean about being out of position when using hands up. I end up being behind the the guy when he pump fakes but I did have success using hands up and the cpu will miss the shot. I need to ease up on the movement part of the stick. It's all about discipline this year.

Yea it is amazing but I agree with the thread guy.. some times even average and below average post players know when to pump fake and have an all the post moves at their disposal. From my 3 games so far all the CPU's AI have the exact same post move skill set. I can't think of the last time I saw D.Harris run into the paint, stop on a dime and do an up and under with 2 pump fakes b4 letting off his post shot. AND he hit that shot over Pau Gasol and Bynum.

You call it the AI being smarter. I call it unrealistic for below average players to be scoring on me AND my cpu defense playing good sound defense.
