    Too much bumping/holding.

I can't run my route in this game because if I get within 2 feet of a defender, it plays that bumping animation over and over and I can't seem to move very well. This is ruining the game for me. It's not playable for a player-locker like me.

Please, someone tell me I'm doing something wrong (besides stay away from the defender), or tell me how to correct my issue.

Have not touched my player yet Boge but have you messed with the training camp mode in 2k12 yet? I heard they have a section that teaches you how to better move without the ball....

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I went through that whole thing, but in there, you aren't running routes without the ball. That's when I have a problem.

Most people probably don't notice because they don't do my player or player-lock, so they're always controlling the player with the ball.

yea can't cross up anybody unless they fall for a pump fake then I can get into the paint, after getting into the paint, the big men are all over your face plus all the outside defenders will fly into the paint behind your back and try to block you, I just feel like the entire court is too small while the players are too big, not enough spacing to do things!

              It's a physical game.

You can't hold someone like they're doing to me in this game. Where's the foul!?

It's not playable for me this way. I seriously need some suggestions.

Agreed. It once again seems to mainly show up in My Player where, once your team has called a play, and you start trying to do what it tells you, but the game forces you into post up animations/pushing/shoving/holding animations...and the only way to avoid it is to literally run out of bounds. This isn't even remotely realistic in any capacity.

Exactly. Look at Ray Allen trying to run his routes in real life and how physical it gets, constantly getting hung up, bounced off his path, big men throwing their hips into him or stepping in his path, etc. Welcome to basketball.

Much more often than not, he gets to his area, or gets a foul called.

Lol, so so wrong. It's true there is contact, but when's the last time you've seen somebody try to run to their spot but somehow get sucked into posting up? You choose whether you want to post up or not, the contact is overdone. And while players do kind of grab at players in nba, there's 2 big differences. 1, grabbing at a player in the nba doesn't bring them into a complete stop or slow them down THAT much. 2. fouls are called for this sometimes.

Have you tried not turbo'ing to the spot?

I've found if you just walk/jog to the spot the defender will give you just enough space to get there.

Have you tired using the offball controls (the Right Stick) once you've been bumped? That sometimes works for me as it gets me away from the defender to reset my path without any problems.

I have tried not using turbo. It doesn't matter. I've tried doing the off ball controls. I kind of suck at them for one, which is why I'd prefer just running to my spot which I should be able to do. I don't think I should have to do any of these mortal kombat moves to get somewhere on the court. Also, doing those off ball controls isn't as precise as I want.

I know there was a problem like this in 2K11, but there were sliders for contact and on ball defense you could adjust to make it better. Now the on ball defense slider is gone, unless I'm just blind.
