Is there any way to fix this??? (Keep in mind that I already tweaked rosters/roles/rotation/fatigue/injuries, etc. like I wrote above).

Players not playing enough minutes in Association
I simmed about 10 different seasons with 10 different rosters/roles/rotation/fatigue/injuries settings and it is always the same: top starters (Kobe, LeBron, Durant) are playing about 34 minutes a game, and many of them will even request a trade because they are unhappy with their minutes.

In other words, it's broken??? Why would 2K mess with the minutes at all??? They were perfect in 2K11 . . .Comment

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
I have been talking about this since launch. 2K11 wasn't perfect with rotations but it was acceptable. I don't know what 2k did but I cant play association with rotation minutes like this. I tried controlling all teams but you have to adjust minutes for all teams every season. Its to much of a hassle. I really hope they patch this. 80% of the starters minutes are set to 34. Its ridiculous.Comment

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
I buy the 2K games for the offline associations. If they don't patch this, I really don't know what I will do. Micromanaging 30 teams is not my cup of tea.Comment

You have been, you essentially saved me $60+. I cannot go through another year of micro-managing 30 teams. I really wish they wouldve taken more time on this mode.I have been talking about this since launch. 2K11 wasn't perfect with rotations but it was acceptable. They need to redo player roles, a player set to "bench" should not be getting minutes thrown his way..
2k, it should be 5 starters 1 6th man and 4 role players...The 11th & 12th man are not rotation players, they only see playing time when the opportunity presents itself..
The CPU give those guys anywhere between 6-10 minutes each depending on the team and how high they are rated, that's potentially 20 mins taking away from starters and key role players and we all know what happens when players are not getting they're minutes....
The AI typically give the starters 33-34 mins for rotations no matter what team is used or rating.
Also if they atleast spread those extra 20mins around, starters would get between 35-36 mins per game...
Foul trouble is surprisingly not the culprit this year..Just programing

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
Have you checked your rosters for the minutes assigned in rotations?
Most of the superstars are set to 36 which would equal about 34-35 minutes per game played. These players should have minutes set to 37-41 in order to get a realistic number of minutes played.Comment

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
i dont know if this has been discussed here b4, but i wish 2k can impliment some DNP's in the game for, as someone said, benchwarmers and prospects and whatnot. It's not realistic for some players playing 81 games of averaging 4 mpg and a stat line of 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.4 0.0 0.0 ect...
btw is it true that if a player gets injured (hurt or out) they're taken 2 the inactive list? coz i think it's realistic...Comment

Yea it's true but sometimes they will just get put on the bench and still end up playingi dont know if this has been discussed here b4, but i wish 2k can impliment some DNP's in the game for, as someone said, benchwarmers and prospects and whatnot. Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
This is kinda of a big deal I don't see how you f' something up like that that worked fine in 2k11I simmed about 10 different seasons with 10 different rosters/roles/rotation/fatigue/injuries settings and it is always the same: top starters (Kobe, LeBron, Durant) are playing about 34 minutes a game, and many of them will even request a trade because they are unhappy with their minutes.

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
Its fine that they didnt add anything to association but to add more problems
. How they let this into the retail version is beyond me. I'm tired of waiting till November to start my association. I see these types of problems 10 minutes with the game what is 2k doing not to notice for a whole year. Gracious just sim a season 2k and fix the problems.
Everyone always praising 2k. Have people forgot about the great debacle us association players had to deal with in 2k10. Big men shooting 3s. Its so frustrating that a customer notice these problems within 10 minutes of simming games so you would think 2k would have fixed it having a year to do it.Last edited by haloofduty; 10-12-2011, 07:36 AM.Comment

Re: Players not playing enough minutes in Association
And the problem, really, is not even "minutes played", because 3 or 4 minutes is not a big deal in the big scheme of things, as long as players' stats do not suffer (which they do, by the way).
The problem, however, is that your entrenched stars like Kobe, Pierce, etc, will start asking for trades and damage team chemistry during your association. The Lakers failed to make the playoffs three seasons in a row in one of my simulations due to team chemistry (Kobe and Gasol were complaining about minutes and asking for trades). This essentially gives you a "broken" mode . . .Comment

There also needs to be a rotation set for playoffs where teams would use that rotation once the playoffs starts.
Bench depth in coach profiles needs to be more sensitive as in actually working...if I set it vety high then teams should got deep to the 11th/12th man and if I set it very low, teams should got 7-8 man deep...
I think us association guys should create a wishlist thread exclusively for association, something similar to Pared's Arts thread..
