Do you play all the games in My Player? How much do you lose by simming and only playing key games?

I'm gonna play every game in my first 2 seasons JUST so I can ask fo the max deal when my rookie contract is up...I'm gonna lead the league in scoring, steals, and have plenty of awards to back up my asking price....

Right now I'm just playing key games. Just trying to get all the achievements first. then hopefully when 2k fixes the the terrible trade logic, I will make a new my player and play every game.

People who play key games only, seem to have horrible trades... Same when someone gets injured. It seems like when there is some sort of "Simming" involved in the game, the game just goes ape nuts crazy...

I play all of my games. Been doing that since the first time My player came out... I haven't had any bad trades... I dont know who we traded off to get Tim Duncan (Bobcats)... But that and a few other trades were made around the league in my 20+ games so far...

I feel that like the OP said, its more important to play every game your first two years. And since the game is gonna be here for a year, I like to stretch my time out playing it. It might take me like 2 months to complete my first two seasons, but I will come out of my rookie and sophomore year BEASTING. And I can get the ULTIMATE asking price.

I play the key games and a handful of non-key games. With 12 minute quarters that's all I can really do...

I'm gonna play all the games, just like I did last year. At least for the first season anyways. I like the feeling of playing the whole season and building the emotion of putting the time and effort into winning.

The main thing that can help help you and not force you to play all games is boosting your Overall. By boosting your Off and Def Awareness. My full attention was to play all games in my Rookie Contract. But, I play 12 min Qs and it takes a hour to play.Before the end of season(in mid 2nd year), I plan on boosting Off and Def Awareness. So, I can probably boost OVR to about 80+ before end of year because I am comfortable with my ratings right now.

Yep that's what I'm doing too except I play 10 min quarters. Right now I'm leading the league in points and 3PM (LOL @ this though. I'll probably break Ray Allen's record by the ASG) I got injured so I'm like 14th in steals, but I'm confident I can get top 10. I'm going for that milestone too. Still though I don't know how contract negotiations go yet, but I'd imagine they do have something to do with OVR.... still though I made the ASG my first year in the league in the mid 70's so maybe they changed this as there was no way that would have happened the last couple years.. I'll look later, but from memory the MVP race/All Star votes may be based on metric stats (Which would make FAAAAAAR more sense than what usually happens where the guy with the highest OVR just happens to win almost every year_

depends.. how many games did you make your season? I feel sorry for anyone who starts up an 82 game season because I guarantee you.. either you won't make it through the season.. or you'll end up simming the majority of it

14 games is fun.. it goes by pretty fast though (I'm almost in year 4 now, LOL!) so maybe 29 games is the sweet spot

I'm 2 regular season games away from completing my 1st season...I've played every game(8min qtrs).... I'm beasting now....I used to struggle to score, now it's coming just a lil easier....I'm a 82 overall...would be higher probably but I spent a ton of points on dunking, vertical, and rebounding....things that I said I wasn gonna touch at first...I got tired of doing lay ups on fast breaks....with the proper placement of points, I know I can easily be a 85 to start my sophomore campaign....maybe higher depending on what we do in the playoffs....either way, I've set myself up good for the free agent market averaging 35ppg 3rpg 4apg and 2spg......just imaging how next seasons number r gonna look...

Only 8 minute quarters, but I've played every game thus far.

I'll eventually playing mostly key games once my guy reaches a point where there's nothing I REALLY want to upgrade.

I play all games until my ratings are high enough that simming gives realistic numbers. If you start simming with 60 OVR, you'll be shooting 2-10 and stuff like that.

Generally play all games until I'm at 70-75, with a focus on the ratings my tendencies prefer.

I only play key games. I want to see the end of my career, and have time to play Association online and off, so there's no way in hell I could get through a 10+ years playing 82 games plus play-offs. I might make it through one year if I played a lot.

I play all.U gotta atleast until u become a starter cuz ur stats suck when u sim.Example:When i played my first game then the next key game i had 4 ppg.With my new MP goin into the next key game(i think)over 15 ppg.
