My List of 34 Classic Teams for NBA 2k13

NBA 2k12 has 34 classic teams. I wanted to go ahead and make a list of the 34 teams I would like to see next year in NBA 2k13.
The 17 teams in bold are new additions. The other 17 teams are carried over from NBA 2k12. Let me know what you guys think.

Personally I would replace the buffalo braves with barkley suns, and maybe also add in the mid 2000's suns when they were some of the best. Thats just me though

The 92-93 Suns would be on the list if Barkley would allow 2k to use him in the game.

No way Raptors should be a classic team. Neither should the 03 Rockets.

You have to do something 1st in order to be considered a classic team.

I added those 2 teams because they would be fun to use in the game. I agree that they were not championship caliber teams. 2k could use these 2 teams as a bonus for pre orders like they did for 2k12 with the "91 Run TMC Warriors" and "01 Sacramento Kings"

I wish they will keep the classic teams we have now in 2k12 for 2k13 and just add some new ones. But if they limit it to 34, then here's my list for NBA 2K13:

Personally as a Cavs fan I think you should leave the 89 team in or switch it to the team that had Price, Daugherty and Ron Harper. Also I would love to see the Mavericks with Jason Kidd, Jim Jackson and Mashburn added. The Nets with Anderson, Coleman and Petrovic would be nice too in addition to your lists.

My idea for 2k13 is a "Greatest Playoff Series" mode. In that scenario you'd have Sixers-Raptors from 2001 where there were 3 50+ point games.

Maybe what they could do is have you win the series with the team that originally won to unlock the other, or vice versa, both would work.

I think the idea has potential.

That's dope. I personally think they should have AT LEAST one great team per franchise and pick a special moment for that team for us to play, ranging from a playoff series, key game, key matchup etc.. On top of that they should offer as DLC an all time roster for each franchise. We all love our particular franchises, but this would open up the history of a lot of different squads.

If 2k is really trying to impress us, they could make a separate game called 2k13 The Greatest. My idea for this would involve multiple moments, with several different teams for each franchise. For example- Cavs fans would play through the "Miracle of Richfield" series in the 70's, try to over come Jordan and "The Shot" in the 80's and then try to get Lebron's team past the Orlando Magic in 2009. Essentially creating 30 semi story modes, some longer than others obviously (Celtics, Lakers, Bulls). Sonics/OKC would be a blast to play if they highlight 3 or 4 different eras.

That's a good idea, but at least 1 of the teams I hope is included did not make the playoffs (1976-77 Jazz w/Pistol Pete). That was the year Pete averaged 31 ppg and finished first in the nba in scoring.

Something I would like to see 2k include is East and West All-Star teams with the 70's, 80's, and 90's players. Like they do with the current teams, but instead of the normal All-Star jerseys from recent years, have it like the 1998 All-Star Game, where the players all wore there own team jerseys.

I´d also add the 87/88 Mavericks, the 87/88 Jazz or 90/91 Jazz, 92/93 Supersonics and keep the 89/90 Cavs, the 92/93 Hornets and the 92/93 Nuggets.

I'm surprised 2K hasn't used this Bulls team yet. This is when the Bulls started to make their move as one of the best teams in the League and a championship contender. Granted, they only got to the second round before they lost to Detriot (the first of three consecutive losses in the playoffs to the Pistons), but you could tell they were about to really make some noise in the Association.

And if we get that team, we should also get the 87-88 Cavs, who the Bulls faced in that classic first round series.

Also, we need the 87-88 Hawks and Celtics to recreate the classic Dominique/Bird shootout.

-The 1991-92 or 1992-93 Miami Heat (A great and fun team to watch, much like the Hornets)
-Reggie Lewis' 1991-92 Celtics
-The 1987-88 Bulls (Awesome Young team)

-The 1991-92 or 1992-93 Seattle Supersonics
-The 1992-93 New Jersey Nets

90-91 nuggets with their famous fast-break offensse and the 88-89 nuggets with Michael Adams who i believe broke a 3 point record that year. I love the fast break offense the nuggets had back then
