14 and 0.3 ...........
why is in everygame i play, regardless its online or versus the cpu. at 14seconds left of the clock 50% of the time something happens. most of the time its a random reaching foul from a cpu controlled player. and why when the ball goes in at the end of the game, the clock stops at 0.3 like everytime?

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
Are you sure these fouls are actually happening w/ 14 seconds left though? Per NBA rules, if a defensive foul takes place with less than 14 seconds on the shot clock, it automatically resets to 14. This is probably what you're noticing.Comment

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
The .3 thing is a rule? Uh, no. There is no rule on when a clock will stop because a shot goes in. The CPU obviously shoots at a certain time to allow .3 seconds left if it goes in. Which, happens seemingly at least once a game.Comment

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
Yeah i've seen the 0.3 thing in 2K11. If a shot is made with 0.2 or 0.1 on the clock the time will automatically go up to 0.3. You can see it happen in replay. Lost a game once because of itComment

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
0.3 second is the minimum amount of time it takes a player to make a last second basket (tap, inbound alley oop) by NBA rules...The "Trent Tucker" rule.
I think the AI makes this happen so that on the low end there are only two possibilities buzzer beater or 0.3. Maybe it has something to do with that, but agree with Matt that the actual time remaining should be left untouched (0.1, 0.2) and call it game (or quarter).Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
It's two rules.
A defensive foul with less than 14 sec. left gives the offense a 14 sec. shot clock left.
And if a basket goes in with less than .3 sec than it goes to .3 sec.
This thread is really pointless and should be closed.Comment

Re: 14 and 0.3 ...........
.3 is the minimum amount of time to actually take a shot to win a game. If it is less than that, you can only tip the ball in. If you catch and shoot, it will not count.
